Hi Highlanders,

I have really missed a lot from this kinda forum, i registered here some years back but did not know what usefulness it was until now, lol , i wish i could have followed this kinda tread, maybe my previous Visas wouldn't have been denied.

I have the same problem people are talking about on this issue, that is
1. I am not a bonafide student
2. I will not return to Nigeria.

I used a sponsor who was not so related to me the first time and also my dad but I was refused Visa, maybe cos the major sponsor wasn't related to me.

I changed my Passport from the old one to the new one (E-Passport) and re-applied, there was an issue on my previous passport, my date of birth was wrong on it (just the year) but i wasn't so concerned about that cos i think it means nothing and when i got the E-Passport, i had the date of birth changed to the correct one.

I re-applied with the E-Passport and did not include the old passport and i did not also state that i had applied before (sort of File Number) and i received a call bearly 2 weeks after submitting my application, someone telling me she's calling from CDHC and asking if i had another passport and i LIED i had non.

Days later, i got my package returned back to me, I was refused based on the two reasons above but they added one more, that they are not satisfied I have given true information which i know I haven't.

I want to re-apply now as my school is resuming in September but i had lost the Old Passport and am using the E-passport now.

Now i have some questions which I'll want the Nairalanders to please give me advice on.

1. What documents should I submit with the formal documents I've submitted previously?
2. Should I include a letter from a Lawyer telling them that I had an error with my date of birth on the formal passport and I had to change when the new E-passport is out or i should just write the letter by myself?
3. Since i have lost the old passport, will they believe it is lost?
4. What are the major things I'll submit to prove that I am a bonafide student and that I will be returning to Nigeria after the completion of my studies?

I hope i will have answers to this questions soon cos i will be submitting my application probably nxt week.
