LordAdam16:
Ambode does not have to secede anything. It is not his choice to make

Companies go where their interests align. Shell is in Warri, ExxonMobil is in Akwa Ibom, Eni is in Port Harcourt. They and many other oil companies have other administrative offices and headquarters in the Lagos.

Osinbajo ordered the relocation of headquarters in March last year. Kachiku is currently negotiating with the IOCs. We don't do long stories in the SS. If we can get NDDC and Ministry of ND, relocation of headquarters is not an issue.

Lagos is commercially viable, so even if the HQs relocate, they'd be fine. It's only that the Tinubu cartel will increase taxes to cover the shortfall.

The point is, relocation of HQ and the no man's land issues are mutually exclusive. Whether Ambode reverses the recent law or not, the HQ relocation will happen.

-Lord
THATS WHAT IAM SAYING. SO ITS NOT UP TO AMBODE TO RELOCATE LIKE THE POST IS SAYING . . IF ALL THE HQ MOVE TO SS, THEN LAGOS STATE CAN CONVENIENTLY REPARTRAITE NON-CITIZEN BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY N STATES.LAGOS STATE IS OVER POPULATED

Nigerian leaders have been stealing since the days when churches were as poor as church-rat and churches believed wealth was a road to hell fire, so stop that daft talk of churches inspiring leaders.
its so bad these days . during Jonathan Era, they launder money using churches n pastors

it is against God's will that a Christian should be poor.

does poverty validate your Christianity

I wonder where so-called Christians get this notion that u have a better standing with God when poverty grip your life
depends on which type of poverty you talking about. coz i read in the Bible that Jesus even asked the rich man to sell all his properties n give them to the poor and then follow him

I find no problem with the responses. I'm a firm believer that Nigeria should restructure, and regions should be free to make their own laws.

If CSOs feel the state law impinges on the constitution, they're free to battle it out in court. If it doesn't they should accept it in good faith and if they really are into it, do a tit for tat in their native regions. The Yorubas have the best universities in the country. It is a comparative advantage. If they choose to exploit it, I'm sure they explored the consequences and bit the bullet.

The Akwa Ibom seaport project is on. The Edo seaport is on. It is only on NL you find SE complain that the SS ports are not competitive, in the real world they're doing fairly nothing about it, after all they still make profits when they import through Lagos. They should stop complaining and start acting. If SE businessmen really want the SS ports to be competitive, it'd only take 3 years to make it happen. 3 YEARS!so they expecting Ambode to secede oil companies to their states abi?ok waiting. if they don stop kidnapping, armed rubbery etc, no inestor will smell thier state .

your Opinion is flawed .to begin with Nigeria Churches are the one encouraging most of these leaders to steal. like Catholic indulgence of old, the politicians believe as far as they are paying their tithes and all kinds of money they are saved. so they steal government money with impunity.

churches preach prosperity, unmerited wealth etc making brethren to be desperate pursue vanity just to make a statement financially

One thing I am against Pentecostal is the way they attack Catholic on Dogmatic . Forgetting they too are guilty of dogmatic .tithing Val celebration ,birthday Sunday worship n Xmass celebration are dogmatic too .

Pentecostal churches even set special service for every month in the year . All these are dogmatic that are not in the bible .
In between I am not a Catholic nether am I Pentecostal . I like to be on my own

Politics › Meet Nigeria -born Kehinde Wiley Who Painted Obama Portrait by koladebrainiac(op): 1:13am On Feb 13, 2018
Kehinde Wiley (born 1977) is a New York City-based portrait painter who is known for his highly naturalistic paintings of African-Americans in heroic poses. The Columbus Museum of Art, which hosted an exhibition of his work in 2007, describes his work with the following: "Wiley has gained recent acclaim for his heroic portraits which address the image and status of young African-American men in contemporary culture

In October 2017 it was announced that Wiley had been commissioned to produce a portrait of former U.S. president Barack Obama for the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. This painting was unveiled on February 12, 2018. He and Amy Sherald are the first black artists to make official presidential portraits for the National Portrait Gallery

EARLY LIFE

Wiley was born in Los Angeles, California. His father is Yoruba from Nigeria, and his mother is African-American. As a child, his mother supported his interest in art and enrolled him in after-school art classes. At the age of 12, he spent a short time at an art school in Russia
Wiley did not grow up with his father, and at the age of 20 traveled to Nigeria to explore his roots and meet him. Wiley earned his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1999 and his MFA from Yale University, School of Art in 2001

Career
Wiley often references Old Masters paintings for the pose of the figure.Wiley’s paintings often blur the boundaries between traditional and contemporary modes of representation. Rendered in a realistic mode—while making references to specific Old Master paintings—Wiley creates a fusion of period styles, ranging from French Rococo, Islamic architecture and West African textile design to urban hip hop and the "Sea Foam Green" of a Martha Stewart Interiors color swatch. Wiley's slightly larger than life-size figures are depicted in a heroic manner, as their poses connote power and spiritual awakening. Wiley’s portrayal of masculinity is filtered through these poses of power and spirituality

All that matters to buhari is pettiness

Do you know what it is like to have a big gash dug in one's brain and family members roasted alive?

His son fell from ordinary bike and he is renovating the hospital he will use.

The blood of those killed in benue will continue to cry on buhari's head and his family.

Shameless group of human, apparently he was behind the boko Haram menace.

The best way to reform Police is to make them accountable for their errors,i.e citizen should be able to sue them when they make illegal arrest n torture when they refuse to follow due process. this will bring proper investigation that's expected of them
