Quick question please. When someone invests in NTB and the money is held buy a custodian..is it insured i.e. should the institution go under will my money still return to me?

Yes. Tbills has the faith of the Federal Government. Only the FG going under can affect it. War, apocalypse.

Secondary market rates fluctuating from 15% to 15.5%, please how does this affect possible rates for next week? I want to place a bid today, since my bank said latest window is previous Friday of the bidding week

Update: I'm looking at 182 days.

Union Bank requires that bids be submitted latest by 4pm on the Friday before the bid, that is, for the 31st August auction they want to have my instructions by 26th August and that is too early for me to know the best rates to bid with as I'm wary of their own bids.
Stanbic IBTC is their custodial nominee.

I have resigned to their own bids coming next week. But if anyone can advice me on likely best rates, I'll appreciate it.

I also lost out on 15.2% for 119 days in the secondary market. But that's OK,
