Many thanks for sharing. This is what I was referring to yesterday, bsc degrees with 2.1 or 2.2 applying for a second bsc can book for category A, not HND as was the case we saw yesterday. This information will go a long way to pacify the fears in many of our bsc applicants. Once again thanks.

So, a friend contacted the embassy to ask them if category A can be booked for bsc holders applying for another bsc in Germany. Let me drop this here.Please see response below:

A friend of mine called me today and complained that VO sent him back for booking under a wrong category.
He is going for a Bsc course but booked under category A and Paulinus even passed him to the interview section only to get kicked off by the VO for booking with wrong category.

I don't know if someone has posted this information here because there are many messages and I really don't have much time now to read all.
I think it's a wise decision to book with the right category otherwise you will get kicked inside the embassy.

General information.
I called the german embassy and the lady said category B is for 3rd class holders.

So if u are a B.Sc holder with at least 2.2, you should apply for category A.

Even though you are given admission in b.sc, u can apply for category A. Masters and Phd are only listed but it also includes b.sc provided u have a b.sc with at least 2.2.


Just a note to everyone waiting for category B appointment date.

I dnt think HND certificate holders can book category A. Have you heard of any bachelors degree holder (with 2.2 max) who booked for category A being bounced?

I had a deal with a friend going for BSC to book with category A meanwhile he used HND to get AL. He was turned back by the VO cos he booked wrong cat so I will advise all to do normal. I know many people won't believe this story well I am giving a 100% that happened it's left for us to take it or leave it I won't even argue with anyone

Want to confirm if you got the full information before cancelling? What if he went with an HND/OND certificate. Can the person give us more details.
