TravelRe: At The NVC Processing Stage Of The U. S Family Based Preference Category. by koolkesh(m): 9:07pm On Dec 19, 2017
Wanna give a little update on the medicals I did. I had my medicals in the hospital in Abuja. I initially paid N80,900 but had to pay an additional N13,900 for 3 vaccination (because I could not present my old vaccination records). I got there 8am left there around 1:30pm (I was the 18th person) although the nurse told us some staffs are currently on leave because of the festive season, so manpower reduced a little, hence the delay. I was required to bring along the p4 letter, my international passport and a copy of the payment (either transfer or bank teller).

I hope this information would be useful for someone.

Even someone u bought flight ticket for. Can get there and wipe ur history with them. It's crazy!

On an unrelated talk, how much is the medicals?
In Abuja the hospital charges N80,900 I also heard one of the hospital in Lagos also collect something similar (I think that is the one in Ikoyi) while the one in V.I is 100k thereabout.

Hi guys. Am sure you all would be wondering why i did not share my friend's interview experience. Its funny how life is. Someone that I know very well, we went to the same school. , to be frank when he started this immigration journey, he did not know jack about the process, cos he is not the type that reads to get information. He was always, Chatting with me, asking about how the process goes, and being the type of person I am, I am always willing to help. I even told him to get his NPC certificate, so as not to have any form of delay after interview. Up to the medicals hospital to use, he pinged me, I sent him the Addy. From start to finish of this journey, if he says i have not been of help to him, even God will be angry with him. And then just to share his experience at the embassy, he started behaving funny, just posting me. I didn't even bother to ask him again. Am just baffled. Imagine us on nairaland how we are so willing to give ppl info that can help, even when we don't know each other or haven't seen face to face. and then someone I know is keeping to himself becos he feels he has done his, and doesn't need anyones help anymore. Smh
Just like the rest said, ignore him. karma has a lovely way of always serving you right back when you won't expect it.

@ pretty16

It does happen and the interview date will fall in the next month when his PD will be due.

Same happened to me, I got my interview confirmation in the month before my PD was current but it was for early the next month when my PD would be current. They have insight into what PDs will be current next month and start scheduling interviews.
If it won't too much trouble, I'd appreciate if you could share your experience at the interview was like.

Hi koolkesh. Great to have you here. Looks like a lot of us under F1 category with PD 2011 got our welcome letter same time. My friend whose pd is Jan 2011 and interview date is tomorrow 5th of Dec. We both got our welcome letters the same day. 7th of June. But the pd differenciates everyone cos the earlier the P.D, the earlier the interview date.

All your Original documents will be given back to you. But you need to make the photocopies they requested for cos thats what they will package on your sealed documents that you will submit to the CBP at the Port of entry when u get to the U.S. so its important you go with all the photocopies of the documents you have. Including the photocopies of the originals with them. Cos they said if u don't come with photocopies, they will keep the originals. And if u have to make photocopies at the embassy, na your money go talk. LolzZZ.

Anyone with additional info that will help can chip in. I will also ask my friend when he comes back from his interview.
I would try to search if I have a copy of it, because I would not want any more delays at this point. But I honestly hope it won't be a problem considering they did not give me a checklist after my case was complete.

Just want to also mention that in the visa bulletin list, there is a chart for "Dates for filing Family-Sponsored Visa Application" the chart shows the priority date of those to receive welcome letter, So people can actually monitor to see when they should have been contacted with a welcome letter.

TravelRe: U.S. Immigration Questions: Ask A U.S. Consular Officer by koolkesh(m): 10:35pm On Dec 04, 2017
Good day VO,

I sent my original Birth Certificate and I also sent an Original attestation of birth (I was asked to send the attestation to support the type of birth certificate I have) to NVC. I read on the checklist of items to bring along to the interview that I would need to bring along Original birth certificate and photocopy, I would like to know if my original attestation of birth would be given to me without the photocopy because I cannot currently find any copy of the attestation of birth. I would appreciate your candid advise on this.

Thanks in advance.

Hello, thanks for bringing this thread to my notice. I believe the January bulletin would be moving pass my PD (06 march 2011) so it might explain how I got my P4 letter early. Got my welcome letter in June, it has been a very long journey for me, I was initially under f2b till my Mum got her Citizenship which migrated me to F1.

I read through some of the subject discussed on this thread and I have a question on the birth certificate thingy. I also submitted the short local government BC and they asked for attestation of birth which I eventually did and sent to them, but I sent the original and I forgot to make a copy. Is there a way around this? As I keep reading we should bring along Originals and photocopy of our document. I would be glad if someone who has had an interview or someone who knows anyone who has done interview should shed more light on if I do not need the photocopy considering I sent them the original of my short BC and the attestation. (Bare in mind when they asked me to submit supporting document they also asked for Birth Certificate and it was the short one we submitted and I did not get a checklist).

Nice thread, very informative.

Kindly make the poster an offer via text or call. We(Zizzo and I) would ensure the owner gets your offer.

LexngtonSteele:
Bluntly speaking, it would be hard to sell at that price not spoiling hustle but being realistic. The brand new 308 on Peugeot Nigeria website is 5.97 million....So why would a 200k reduction be = 27000km?

Brand new 508 is 15.3 million.

The owner of the car should be a bit realistic. EVERY SINGLE ONE of my friend advised against buying that other link i posted for 2.5 million asking price which might even be negotiated to maybe 2.1 million ( that car has spent months already on OLX) because of maintenance and terrible-close-to-zero second hand value.

I am considering 301 simply because i am in the North and theoretically i can get parts in Kaduna. I love the blue colour but i can get good Hondas and Toyota at that price.

May God answer the prayers of the buyer and seller of this car....these are my 2kobo
