Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by kooloosaw: 11:58am On Feb 24, 2018
Hello Justwise and everybody.
I recently applied for a Tier 2 visa and 2 things have been bothering me;
1. I forgot to include my photocopies old Passport with valid UK visa and visa pages and stamp pages. Though I put all the details correctly on the online form. I don’t know if not submitting the photocopies would affect the decision.
2. I left England on the 17th of February and got to Nigeria 18th February. Submitted my online visa application on 17th February and paid the same day. Would it be termed as being dishonest as I landed in Nigeria the following day? (Seeing as we have to input all our trips on the online application form).
Thank you.

How did you pay for visa fees with the restrictions on cards

Funded a friend's dollar account and she made the payment for me.

Please how do I stop this? Should I give an explaination or just be quiet about it and hope it won't affect me?

I eventually did mentioned this on my application and explained to them I misinterpreted the question to mean if I had someone in the U.K. That was a British Citizen and since my brother was not, I ticked "no". Also included that I now know better and I will complete my forms according to UKVI guidelines. I was granted my visa. All these people need is adequate explanation and honesty.

Travel / Nigerian Doctors Forum- Let's Share Our Exams And Immigration Experiences. by kooloosaw: 7:40am On Nov 22, 2016
Hello all,
I'm a medical doctor who just cleared her IELTS and hoping to write PLAB 1 in the middle of next year.
Felt the need to create this thread because of my frustration when I was looking for my Seniors'- and even colleagues'- journeys through this pathway. Searched for all keywords but the thread I found was not even active.
Asians write blogs and create forums/threads to ease prospective doctors' journeys but it seems when Nigerians travel, that's the end. Yes I know we are busy but some guidance through what exams to write and how to score the maximum points would be nice.
Please let's share our experiences and ask pertinent questions here- which of all these popular countries is easiest and best career-wise to migrate to?
Little information is known about Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland pathways for medical doctors, could people who are there please share?
Let's try to keep this thread active please.
Thank you.

Anyone picked up their IELTS result lately at the British Council in Lagos?

Please I need to know the days of the week allowed for pick up. It's written on their gate... I can't remember.

Thanks

Applying for 2 years visit/tourist visa. Staying with my brother. Appointment is tomorrow. Please, should the answer to this question be "yes" or "no"? Considering the context, too. Thank you.

Yes it will if they spotted that out either during visa processing or at the POE

Also, when I traveled in 2013, I was invited and hosted by my Mum's friend. My brother was in England then but as a masters student. He is now married. I mentioned then that I did not have any family in England. Would it be used against me now as I'm using my brother as my sponsor?

Hi Justwise. I am a medical doctor currently having her compulsory one year internship in a hospital in Lagos. I want to renew my U.K. Visa in a week or 2 and I've filled out my online application form but I'm yet to submit because I want few clarifications which are;
1. I want to apply for 2 years now (last visa was 6 months and in 2013) but I stated in my application that I will spend 12 days for holiday. Is 2 years too much?
2. I lent someone 400,000 naira earlier in the year and she ended up paying the money in bits of 100,000 with the last payment being yesterday. I have just one account which is also my salary account. Do I have to explain to the U.K. Embassy about these transactions? Problem is, the person didn't pay in her name. She sent like 3 different people to pay the money to me. Should I explain this to them?
3. I do not have an official letter that says I'm going on leave from my hospital however I've got a letter which stated that I am an employee of the hospital and I'd like to travel to Manchester between x and y periods. Is this enough?
4. My brother, who works and lives in the U.K., is my co-sponsor and host. In the application, I mentioned he would be housing and paying for my air transport which was estimated to be about £900 and that I have £600 personally to pay towards my holiday making total money £1500. Is this fine? Presently, I've got slightly over 800,000 naira in my account and my brother has about £4000 in his'. Please, is the money distribution okay?
5. I understand I have to put in 6 months pay slips but some of my pay slips cannot be found- those of July and August. Can I put earlier payslips in place of these?
6. Finally, if I want an appointment for 2nd week in November, how soon should I submit my online application?
Thank you so much in anticipation.
