I am using ubuntu 10.10, I dont know the model, but it is one CimCom 3.5G Universal Modem.

@all my modem has not been able to function with unbuntu ooooooooooooooo, i am thinking of selling the stuff off and go get an huwaii Modem from Glo, What do you think huh

@ koolwilly, it seems your modem is not detected. if you have alternative internet, download GPPP.

just check synaptic for it.

let me do some research, it seems we will have to compile drivers for dat modem or at least hack 1 to support it

@4ller that particular modem is not detected, cos i am using A Multilinks Evdo Modem and it is detecting it, it also detects my Mobile fone too, plz do help me out.

The modem is a universal HSDPA Modem by cimcom, but ubuntu sees it as a mass storage device,
