Education200 Level Unilorin Student Drowns by koppa(op): 11:07am On Nov 02, 2015
By Demola Akinyemi
ILORIN -Tragedy has enveloped the University of
Ilorin community as a 200 level student of the
institution, Onikenku Michael Atunde, who was said
to have gone for swimming in the university since
last Saturday was yet to return to the hostel.
As at press time, members of the Kwara state Fire
Service and National Emergency Management
Agency who have also been deployed to search for
the student were yet to make any head way.
Vanguard reliably gathered that the student,
Onikenku Michael Atunde of the department of
Science Education a member of Man O war, was said to have gone missing since Saturday when he
reportedly went for swimming.

Authorities of the university, it was gathered, have
contacted the student’s next of kin.
Spokesperson of the university, Kunle Akogun in a
statement made available to Vanguard on the
development said “a member of the man’o war club
was reported to have been calling for assistance in
the river flowing behind the Parks and Garden Unit
early Saturday.
“Rescue efforts coordinated by the Deputy Vice
Chancellor, Academics, Prof Nike Ijaya was
immediately mounted, search still ongoing. Medical
services have been on since yesterday.”
It is feared that the student might have been
drowned at the university’s dam site.” It stated.

cruzyteejay:
That's the highest paying job in the world, but in Nigeria it goes thus:

1.politics(Nigeria made it a career)
2.engineering(chemical)
3.blogging(that's if you progress)
4.business(onitsha and lags men will testify to this)
5.entertainment(esp singing and comedy)

if you have another one then add

Engineers Rock!!!!

But OP sha, I disagree with your list.

My own Top 5
BUSINESS MEN (Ndi-Ego) is the highest paying career you can have in Nigeria.
POLITICIANS.
MUSICIANS.
PASTORS,
ACTORS/ACTRESSES (Entertainers in General)..

Therefore based on this, the best degrees to acquire are:
1) Business
2) Political Science
3) Music
4) Theology / Religious studies
5) Theatre Arts.
if Music is up there Sport should be there after Business,Politics shouldn't be there if not for our corrupt nigerian leaders...All this football players are so rich, for instance Mikel Obi,who warms chelsea bench week in,week out gets paid £80k every friday, equating to N20m perweek..you won't ever go broke if you are given Mikel's whole salary for a monthe exempting tax
