The saga started yesterday(22nd, May 2020) when Davido reposted an artwork created by one ayofrica, the artwork featured two music stars: Davido and Wizkid, in the caption the creator of the work jokingly said 'the 2 gods are working on the cure to COVID-19', the picture actually depicts them as one tho lol.

The post which got lots of engagement on social media including popular Tundeednut later caught the attention of Davido, and Davido reposted with a caption that marked the beginning of the saga. Lol

A young native doctor was filmed protesting after he was arrested for stepping out without wearing a face mask amid the COVID-19 pandemic.



In the video, the man is seen telling the members of the task force that he's on his way to an important assignment. He was asked why he's not wearing a face mask and he responded that he's a native doctor and Coronavirus is not a threat to him.



He said he is not afraid of the virus and can treat patients if they are brought to him.



"This is my father's land. This is my father's land oh. Someone will be going on his way and you people will be subjecting him to abuse," he protested as he was led to a canopy to sit.



"What you people are doing now has repercussions," he warned the task force in Igbo.



"Look at my neck," he said, pointing to the strings of the beaded necklace he was wearing.



"The assignment I'm going on now is not something... What I'm going for is a very serious matter. I'm telling you the truth."


"But why are you not wearing your face mask," an officer asked.



And the native doctor responded: "I'm telling you that I'm a native doctor. I don't have a problem with diseases. I will treat your Coronavirus. Bring me a patient."



He continued after sitting: "You people are insulting your ancestors. You're insulting the god of the Igbo land."



He was offered hand sanitizer to apply on his hands but he rejected it, saying: "I don't need that thing."



He went on to speak about our ancestors and how they treated themselves with traditional knowledge.



He added: "If others are afraid of diseases, you will join them in being afraid of diseases.


"A White man will be scared of disease, you Africans, that are hardcore Igbolites and know that it is traditional, this is what we do, we are herbalists..."

An ABC TV News reporter has gone viral after he went on air wearing a suit coat and no pants, not realizing everyone could see his legs.



The TV reporter, Will Reeve appeared Tuesday on “Good Morning America” for a segment about pharmacies using drones to deliver prescriptions to patients



But at one point, Reeve, who acts as his own cameraman as he broadcasts from home, was positioned so it was quite clear he was dressed in a suit jacket — but no pants. Viewers quickly took to Twitter to call him out.


“I have ARRIVED,” Reeve tweeted back. “In the most hilariously mortifying way possible.”

A Nigerian father created a dramatic scene with his son who recently returned home from Lagos, which is the current epicenter of Coronavirus in the country.



The man who is reportedly a retired Road Safety officer had asked his son to stay back in Lagos till the Coronavirus outbreak is curbed, but he came home in spite of his warning.



Upon arriving Ekiti from Lagos State, the boy's father insisted that he must get tested for Coronavirus or get isolated for 14 days before being allowed into his house. He added that he doesn't want to be part of those that will complicate Coronavirus issues in Ekiti state just like the 29-year-old pregnant community health worker who died from Coronavirus after sneaking into the state from Lagos state where she works.

At least 4 vehicles were involved in an accident in Benin, Edo state, as commuters hurried home to beat the 7pm curfew set by the state government.



According to reports, the incident happened at the popular Upper Mission Road in Benin.



In a video taken at the scene of the incident, the cars involved in the accident are seen piled on top of each other, making viewers wonder how it happened.



The vehicles included an 18-seater passenger bus, a red car, an ash car, and a truck fully loaded with 7up soda drinks.



According to reports, no life was lost in the accident. Those involved were immediately rushed to the hospital.



Recall that on April 19, Governor Godwin Obaseki imposed a 10-day dusk-to-dawn curfew on Edo, with effect from April 20.



This was in a bid to curtail the spread of the deadly coronavirus as he planned to increase screening and testing of citizens amid the COVID-19 pandemic.



The curfew is expected to be reviewed tomorrow as the initial 10-day lapses.

There has been a fire outbreak at the NNPC petrol station located along College road in the Ogba area of Lagos State.



The cause of the fire is not known at the moment.



However, firefighters are said to be having difficulties in putting out the inferno.



Some nearby houses are also reported to have been affected by the fire.

An official of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) who attended the burial ceremony of President Buhari's Chief of Staff Abba Kyari, has sparked off a row of controversy after being spotted in a viral video removing his Personal protective equipment (PPE) with bare hands.



Personal protective equipment (PPE) is used when there is a risk of exposure to infectious material. PPE is designed to protect the skin and mucous membranes from exposure to pathogens.



The NCDC official was however accused of "carelessly" removing his PPE against health procedures.



A Nigerian doctor, Eze Leo Obinna wrote on Facebook;



This is one of the guys that buried Abba Kyari discarding his PPE along the road with bare hands.No Fumigation.No burning.

In a show of gratitude to the medical personnel, who are attending to various health emergencies in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu went on live video on Instagram to mark the Easter holiday with the medical workers at the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Yaba and the Onikan Isolation Centre, Lagos Island.



In the live video streamed at the isolation facilities, the Governor appeared with a gospel artiste, Abolaji Banjoko, popularly known Beejay Sax, sending greetings and lifting the spirit of the medical personnel with songs of praise, even as they attended to medical emergencies.



As the music played on, the health workers and volunteers excitedly trooped out of the isolation wards, dancing towards the gospel band positioned at a safe distance in the facilities.



The health workers joined the Governor and the saxophonist to pray for divine strength to raise the capacity of the State Government in putting the ravaging pandemic under control.



Patients in the isolation facilities were not left out of the excitement; some of them in the advanced stage of treatment danced to the tunes in their wards. Others stayed by the windows and waved intermittently to acknowledge the gospel artiste’s musical ministration.



Mrs. Bimpe Arowolo, a volunteer nurse, who could not hide her excitement, described the gesture as “motivating”. She thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for sharing the Easter moments with them, noting that the gesture lightened the mood of the workers and patients in the gloomy period.



She said: “This is the least thing everyone of us expected here today. The atmosphere in this environment has been devoid of any form of cheerfulness, because of the nature of the pandemic we are dealing with. We are all taken by surprise when the band started setting up its equipment. We didn’t know what they were up to until they started singing.


“This has lightened up our spirits and it will motivate us to give our best to this important assignment, which requires everyone joining hands with the Government of Lagos State to stop coronavirus in the State. Thank you Governor Sanwo-Olu for keeping our spirits up in this rather gloomy Easter period.”

Unrest in Ifako-Ijaye area of Lagos as armed robbers raided the area from midnight up until now.



According to an eye witness, the robbers were so much, up to about 50 people raiding the area since midnight with arms like cutlass, guns and etc.



It was also reported that occupants of the area had to vacate their homes and stay outside in order to be safe.



it's so disheartening that despite what the country is passing through at the moment, some people are using it as an opportunity to commit a crime.

Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo is currently in Lagos, Nigeria, and she visited Smooth FM this morning for an interview.



While saying hello to the staff at the studio, Angelique spoke fluent Yoruba.



Nigerian singer Asa also visited the studio and both women were happy to see each other.



Angelique is seen drawing Asa in for a long hug before complimenting her footwear. They also spoke Yoruba to each other.



Angelique Kidjo, who will be performing in Lagos, Nigeria, said it will be her first time performing in the state.



"This is my first time in Lagos... My first time playing in Lagos. The last time I was here was in '93. I left here at 13 years old."



She added that her father was "too afraid" of her mum to bring her here because he feared if she comes here, she won't want to go back to resume school.

A young lady who was jilted by her boyfriend has tried to kill herself in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.



A heartbroken lady, identified as Onyechi, has been rescued after she tried to kill herself.



The young lady was prevented from throwing herself in front of speeding vehicles in PortHarcout, River State.



According to an eyewitness, Mercy, the lady was dumped by her boyfriend for another lady. Unable to stomach the breakup, Onyechi allegedly gulped a large quantity of dry gin.



She then proceeds to the main road to throw herself in front of moving vehicles.



She was, however, rescued and dragged to the Ada George Police station, where her family members were contacted.

The Nigerian Police Force, Ondo state command has finally arrested the kidnapper of a one-year-old boy, Gold Kolawole, in Akure church.



The little Kolawole was abducted in November during a Sunday service at the children section of Sotitobire Praising Chapel, at the Oshinle area of Akure, the Ondo state capital.



Thereafter, the founder of the church, Prophet Alfa Babatunde, was arrested by the men of the Department of State Services and currently standing trial at a magistrates’ court.



The suspect, Elike Chubuzor, has now been picked up by the police in relation to the crime.



The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Joseph, while confirming the arrest, said the 39-year-old suspect, who adopted ‘Adamu’ as his name, claimed to have the baby in his custody in Akure.



Also confirming the development, the counsel for Babatunde, Mr. Sola Oke, said the suspect was arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he fled to.



Oke alleged that the suspect committed the offense to implicate Babatunde in the matter.



He called on the police command to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

1. Start Praying like never before:
2020 is a year that no human has ever witnessed before now, and so we need to cultivate the habit of Prayer this year, Since you are new to the year, its only God that knows what the year has in stock for you, so you need to 'Pray to God to go before you and make every crooked part straight for you'



Prayer still does wonders. The equation of a balanced 2020 and 2020 you hope for sure contains 'Prayer' so don't shy away from it.


2.Talk less and think more:


The more you talk, the less you think, this 2020, you need to cultivate the habit of listening and thinking more than you talk, if you calculate the man-hour lost having some unnecessary conversation in 2019 and you convert them to useful work or thinking that yield results, maybe you might not be where you are now.



3. Empower yourself;
Empowerment makes one a Job creator and not job seeker, in this new year, you need to empower yourself, learn a trade/skill that can empower you, no matter how little the trade(empowerment) might seem, Learn one and learn it well this year and start up a small enterprise and you will discover you are soon on the way to becoming employer of labor,


4. Discover your talent and improve it:


There is a talent embedded in you, there is something deposited in you, a natural skill or aptitude, whether singing, dancing, playing football, broadcasting, etc, please do discover this and improve on it... Don't think because your talent is 'dancing', but you want to become a doctor, so you need to neglect your talent.. No, please do discover it and improve on it.. it might pave a way for you in 2020.



5. Avoid Procrastination TOTALLY:
Oh i will do it tomorrow? Oh i will do it next year?, avoid it totally this year, ensure you do anything you want to do NOW!. Don't wait for the rain to fall before you sow, but instead, DO IT NOW!!!


6. Take a good risk:
RISK RISK RISK!!! Alot of us are scared of taking risk, ohh mehn I cant do it, I dont want to waste my money, Tade did it and it failed and a lot more talk have made some persons remain in the same spot. Truth is, you need to take a risk this year, STARTUP THAT BUSINESS, Buy that House, do that Business NOW.

A bus preacher was thoroughly beaten by some angry passengers after a condom fell off from his Bible after he was done preaching.



According to reports, the incident occurred in Onitsha, Anambra state, yesterday, as the angry passengers maintained that he’s being hypocritical and that he is among the reasons people have lost hopes and faiths in men of God in this country.



According to an eye witness, who was on board the bus when the preacher came to minister and pray for the travelers and as well wish them safety on their way to their destinations.



The passengers were moved by self-acclaimed pastors preaching, anointing of God was everywhere; some passenger gave their lives to Christ and accepted Him as their Lord and personal saviour.



Not until when the pastor opened his bible to collect offering from the passengers who may wish to assist him in his ministry, behold 3 Kiss condoms fell off his bible’.



The passenger said;



‘The angry men in the bus who had been having bad feelings about pastors, who preach in buses along venous parks in Onitsha as an undercover for begging got really angry and pounced on him, who all of a sudden started shouting aand pleading for forgiveness because he does that as business not really for true word of God ‘ However, Policemen had to be called to the scene to save the pastors life. So far 2 arrests have been made for further investigations”
