CAN+ is not a 100% guarantee of faster processing. It only makes the application eligible for simplified review, but the visa officer still decides how it will be processed. Also, having a previous Canadian visa does not guarantee faster approval or renewal. Each application is assessed on its own merits, so delays can still happen.

It’s even stricter now. Border officers and airline staff check visa validity before boarding , even at transit points. Airlines will not allow her to board if her return ticket is dated beyond January 6, since her visa expires that day. Everything is changing fast, and those who have travelled recently to canada can confirm that checks at transit points are very strict. If anything is unclear or doesn’t match the information on the visa, they can cancel the visa on the spot and send the passenger back to Nigeria.

As a follow-up, I just did a test run/dummy application, and I think I see where you need clarification:

A. It depends on what you select as to "why you need the visa" E.g if you select "To visit Canada as a tourist" the system would most likely not ask you where you would stay.

B. However, if you select visiting a family or friend who is a citizen, permanent resident, or temporary worker, you will be prompted for the address of that person, which will be where you intend to stay.

If there is any information you think would help your application which has not been mentioned, I would encourage you to state those facts in an official letter addressed to the Deputy High Commission of Canada.

Hope this clarifies the confusion.

If you have a valid USA/Canada visa, you automatically qualified for Can+ which bank statement will be exempted.

I believe she is going to be a self-financed applicant sensing from your post. N12m is enough to show as POF, however, to help her application stay competitive, her full tuition plus the N12m would be appealing to show financial availability, especially if her program is one year. The first-semester tuition can be considered if that is what is available.

If the study is two years, it's not mandatory but necessary for her to have the subsequent year's tuition in her bank account. She can consider her LE as part of the N12m. Her employment information i.e. Employment Letter, Employment Letter of Introduction, Promotion Letter, Salary Increment Letter, Payslips, etc. are sufficient to justify her income sources.

1. This can only be answered if you provide more information relating to duration of study.

2. Canada doesn't investigate your source of income insofar it's your past savings. Meanwhile, lump sums must be explained. When IRCC sees unexplained lump sums, they believe your intent is to inflate the account balance for visa purpose. You must also disclose your job. You can decide to (not) mention your income depending on the strength you feel it will have in supporting your application

3. If your school requires tuition deposit, it must be honoured. If your school doesn't, you need not

Please,i need an answer. My application for b1/b2 renewal was refused. And was suppose to schedule a follow-up interview. The date that popped was not convenient for me ( i was in a neighboring country) . It has since then not popped up another. Recent Inquiries i made shows that Thursday has been set aside for follow up appointments for 221g refusals.
Please, how true is this?

April 1 departure from lagos intl airport
April 2 arrival in London. Check into hotel . Rest
April 3 breakfast at de love’s restaurant. Afternoon tea at so and so. window shopping at Harrods
April 4 visit to the British museum and so on and so forth for each day.
April 12 rest against flight next day. Some shopping at Westfield mall
April 13 departure
Free music concerts, the flyers can be downloaded online. write u will be attending and add d flyer or free art displays, download flyers and attach as well

This is very scary to say the least. However, it appears they expected the individual to at least add a document showing what touristic activity(ies) he/she would be engaging in for the entire duration of his/her stay in the UK. It appears their expectations, especially for first timers, are changing according to their (ECO's) mood at the time of adjudication because this requirement is mostly for Schengen visa applicants. Other than this, I can't find any other reason (s) for the refusal.
