Wealthyonos:I agree that knowing people and building relationships is important. But do you think someone starting with zero connections can build that network from scratch through their work and consistency? |
I’ve been thinking about this lately. When I started my business, I didn’t have a powerful connection or someone who could open doors for me. I started small, learned the business, made mistakes, kept improving and gradually built my customer base. Today, I’ve been in business for years, worked with thousands of customers and built a team. A lot of what I have achieved came from learning, consistency, networking and putting myself out there. But I also understand that connections can open certain doors faster. So I want to hear from you: Can someone genuinely build a successful career or business in Nigeria without knowing “somebody”? Or are connections an unavoidable part of getting ahead? Share your personal experience. 👇🏽 |
Imalwayshorny:Did I ask anyone to send me money? 😂 I only asked people to share their opinions and experiences about phones. Let’s stick to the topic, please No, I’m not advertising any business here. I’m simply participating in the discussion like everyone else. I haven’t asked anyone to send money, make payment, or buy anything from me. If you have a concern about the topic, feel free to state it. |
olamilekan9:That’s actually within the budget I was asking about. Between the 11 Pro Max at ₦320k–₦350k and 12 Pro around ₦355k–₦380k, which one would you personally pick and why? |
Goo0dHardDick:prices of iPhones can change things completely. But that’s why I’m interested in what people are actually buying within their budget. If you had ₦1m+ specifically for a phone, which exact model would you go for and why? |
Sirseedorf:😂 Life truly no balance. But if you get ₦500k today, you go use am buy phone or invest am for the business? |
Nicotinekills:I understand your point, but priorities aren’t the same for everyone. What makes sense financially depends on each person’s income, responsibilities and stage of life |
No brand loyalty 😂 Imagine you have ₦400,000 cash today and you need to buy a phone. Which exact model are you buying? iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Tecno, Infinix or another brand? Tell us the phone and the ONE major reason you chose it. Let’s see what people are actually buying in Nigeria in 2026. |
Goo0dHardDick:That’s quite a lineup 😂 You’ve really tested different brands. Out of all these, which one gave you the best overall experience, and which one would you not buy again? |
DcoolestChristo:I’ve heard quite a lot about the Hot 60 Pro+ 👌🏽 At around ₦300k, it sounds like an interesting option. What do you like most about it so far—battery, camera, performance, or the display? |
addexx:That’s actually impressive for a 4-year-old phone. 😂 What do you think makes the Pixel 6 still worth using in 2026 — the camera, software updates, or overall performance? |
And what happened? 👀 Battery? Camera? Software? Durability? Customer service? |
Jozilinn:Exactly! 😂 I think that’s the real point — iPhone is a good phone, but people should buy based on their needs and financial capacity, not because they want to prove a point. At the end of the day, use what works for you |
Diamond098454:Good review |
meobizy:😂 You say I should stop talking about iPhone, yet you keep coming back to my iPhone posts. Who is really making noise? 😂 |
bdon123:😂😂 First of all, I’m a lady o! You people always assume I’m a guy here 😅. But yes, enjoy your money abeg |
Niok:If na you , you go share free update 😊 I travelled to china to share free update 😆😆 |
Some people will buy a ₦1m+ iPhone just to use WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram and make calls. Meanwhile, there are Android phones offering excellent cameras, battery life and performance for much less. So tell me honestly: Is iPhone actually worth the money, or are Nigerians paying mainly for the Apple logo? 🍎 |
Nadingo:Oh good |
Nadingo:I guess he talking about second hand |
Diamond098454:Oh really how is the camera |
lazkizz:Oh good make sense |

I’m curious to hear from people who have actually used these phones. If you have between ₦300k and ₦500k to buy a phone today, which one would you choose and why? My priorities would be: • Good camera for pictures/videos • Strong battery life • Smooth performance • Good storage • Durability • Something that will still be valuable after using it for a while Would you go for iPhone, Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi/Redmi, Tecno or Infinix? And importantly, would you buy UK-used/foreign-used or brand new? Let’s hear honest recommendations from people actually using these phones. |

Diamond098454:Got it from china for 380k buying & clearing included 128gb |
AndroBlaze:Yes it’s a |
RealityKings1:That’s a wrong review have you ordered from me before the answer is no you can just read the post & pass not a must to comment |
I’ve noticed something since I started discussing iPhones on Nairaland. The moment you post about an iPhone, especially when it involves sourcing from China, some of the comments quickly become hostile. You’ll see comments like “clone,” “scam,” “Aba phone,” or outright insults — sometimes without anyone actually asking questions about the product or presenting evidence. I understand why people are cautious. There are definitely fake and refurbished phones in the market, so consumers have every right to ask questions and verify what they’re buying. But I think there’s a difference between being skeptical and making accusations without evidence. If someone believes a particular phone is a clone, shouldn’t they be able to explain what they identified that makes it a clone? I’m curious to hear from other Nairalanders: Why do discussions about iPhones seem to bring out so much suspicion and hostility? Is it because of the number of fake phones in the market, bad experiences with sellers, the perception that products from China are automatically fake, or simply because Nigerians are very skeptical when it comes to phones? Let’s have a proper discussion. 👇 |
