These Chinese are not slacking o! if you mean business, you should think China First China-made amphibious aircraft begins assembly China started the assembly of its first domestically developed amphibious aircraft AG600, in Zhuhai city, Guangdong Province, on Friday. The amphibious aircraft, which is expected to be the world's largest one, has reportedly received 17 orders so far, mostly from entities wanting to use the plane for forest firefighting and marine rescue missions. According to its developer, China Aviation Industry Corporation, the aircraft's maximum range reaches to 4500 km, equivalent to a round trip between Sanya city in Hainan Province and the Zengmu Reef, the southernmost point of China's territory. With a maximum take-off weight of nearly 50 tons, it can also draw 12 tons of water within 20 seconds and evacuate up to 50 people at one time. The aircraft would achieve completion of final assembly by the end of 2015, with its maiden flight scheduled for the first half of 2016, as per a company statement. Source: cctv news facebook page
