Matter self don die since 2019, Donaltus own na normal failed pickup and buyer refused to take responsibility. I stepped up and took full responsibility, even paid for the whole item. No one is talking about that, please I stayed off peoples business for over a year plus make una no provoke me here o. Our agreed pickup fee was $50 from $60 after I pleaded with you at a rate of 460/$ at our initial point of dealing. Pls Kreamie I knw you're the moderator hear so I'll direct the question to you, incase of failed pickup how much does the deal hunter pay? Normally you pay half the agreed pickup price, at times self you may pay less depending on your relationship with the picker. Imagine Donaltus is saying I pay $60, I was shocked. This is pure greed and wickedness, let's try to leave sentiment and hatred out of this matter,, where you hear say person dey pay same amount for failed pickup of initial agreed pickup fee. Like for example una agree 50 usd for pickup then picker say mk u pay 60 usd for failed pickup.

I didn’t receive any fail pick up fee, it’s so sad.we had issue earlier, which I vowed not to pick up for him again but he came back to me to pick up this particular laptop. I told him seller ask me to meet him around 5:30 in the evening and he said OK. I’m in New Jersey and seller is in New York. He even text me to remind me about the pick up. Which I drove 1hr:20 minutes to pick up the item( he message me when I was 10 minutes away from the seller not to pick up the item again, which I told him have paid toll to enter New York already). MY POINT OF SAYING THIS IS TO CREATE AWARENESS FOR PICKERS!!!! DONT EVER PICK UP ITEM FOR ANYONE EXCEPT YOU RECEIVE YOUR FULL TLC MONEY!!! If I had done that I won’t be in the center Of this mess. It’s going to 3 weeks now and he had refused to pay for the laptop or paid my failed pick up. I WONT FORCE YOU TO PAY THE FAILED PICK UP FEE BUT REMEMBER Internet don’t forget oooo.

The salient thing to consider is

1 he said the unlock anyway its phrased is 8k , that made me decide to get the device a simple no idea or I dont provide unlock services would babe made me contact cybertek instantly. But the definitiveness of his answer made me conclude he must have gotten it from a person of authority. I have unlocked samsung devices but that does not mean I can speculate the cost of unlocking any device .

2 he also agree to assist with the unlock even when he stated his dispatch rider will go to ikeja to meet others who will unlock the device at a competitive price , I think I can search for the screenshot.

3 he was not keen on reasoning with me , the minute he saw the 20k profit . That's why he went as far as to contact the buyer and offered him the profit I stood to gain , saying the actual amount the device was sold to him and the excess of 20k , jimmy and reefe would know how close I and the buyer is , he is talking to me but I know there must be some trust issues going forward now .

4 I have dealt with a lot of persons here , even one scenario I paid a tlc to inspectormax and when we discovered the cost of the unlock was above our budget the next day cybertek replied us he refunded us the complete money, including the profit I added to the deal .

5 everyone that has dealt with me knows I add something tiny to the deal and until the deal is sealed or closed i dont request for it .

6 hotdealz was unwilling to accept his device that very day or the very instant we discovered the actual amount of the unlock .

Now my question is if every body were to post any amount. On their ads as the idea they presume would be for the unlock , I can bet you 90% of persons will repeat the actions I took , because a lot of persons have come to trust popular monikers on nairaland.

The only justifiable remedy is
1 my 20k profit should be sent to me , by hotdealz

2 he should send me a complete screenshot of the conversation he had with the buyer my friend so I can know how best to provide a suitable excuse that can mitigate the consequences of his actions

You're trying to win this argument based on technicality of the issue but still, i'm not buying it. Everything from your write up is technically and morally wrong.

We all know how things work here, nobody is a novice. A lot of people are middlemen and are into dropshipping, you are not supposed to let the actual owner know the exact price of the item. Despite the fact that you didnt intend to refund which i think is very bad of you, you went ahead to ruin the relationship of the person who brought the deal to you and the real owner for your own selfish profit.

The fact that the deal was an AIN one, refund should have been automatic especially for the fact that everything happen within few hours. If D4donnn had used escrow, do you think you would have get away with this? You dont have to force your AIN deal on people.

In my own conclusion, i see you as a shady person that should not be trusted wholeheartedly and going by your antecedents, i vote that you're blacklisted for now, till you change your ways.

I felt very bad about everything and I told Donaltus the whole story and promised to pay him his failed pickup money if I don't get buyer for the item. Below is our chat , I have nothing to hide. We all dey get issues lowkey and handle it like matured people, wetin you dey try prove. I know people you were oweing at one point in time, no one blacklisted you for it. So a friend contacted me on Saturday that he needed a samsung note 20 for his coz with a caveat that they had part of the money available, so I messaged two recognized names but they both insisted when I had the entire money i should hit them up. Hotdealz was the only one who agree to part payment . I've had only one issue in the past on nl and it was quickly resolved that very day, so I never expected anything was gonna pop up whatsoever, I rarely ask for vouch if I see you're a popular seller .

I asked him since is device is locked what was the cost of the unlock he told me 8k , since cybertek has previously unlocked two of my devices for less that 4k I figures it could possibly be truth moreover I had no reason to doubt him and didnt suspect he would lie about it . Relying on that statement I made an initial deposit of 100k , we were supposed to pay the balance by tuesday but on Monday we completed the payment .

So i told him to contact his unlock person so the phone could be unlocked before it got to the client , but he said the persons number was not connecting . I contacted cybertek only to be told the unlock was 34500 , I quickly messaged him to call his contact and see my findings and the next thing he said was , he doesn't do unlock so he cant assist me , and he only sold his device as locked . I was like if you know nothing about unlocking why not specify it then so I'd inquire from others , I've bought devices locked and unlocked from several deal hunters and they have always assisted me with the valuations of the unlocking , Those who were not aware of the cost to unlock the device had stated it .

I told him since the unlock was way above our budget we wouldn't be footing the extra chargers so he should either accept the refund or pay for the balance, that was when he said he wouldn't accept a refund and started tales of how he sold the phone at a loss.

he vehemently argued defending his deception and next thing he did was to contact the seller and told him the actual amount the item was sold , and promised to refund him the extra 20,000 that was placed on the deal.

If he had insisted on splitting the extra expenses with me I most definitely would have agreed but since he chose to defend his deception to the Point of ruining my friendship, damn na that one nai pain me pass , so I don't really know what can be done to alleviate my plight , but I'll appreciate any form of justice because this thing is far from over .

I'll be attaching screenshots for clarity . Because what I have learnt about this dude
