You need to do a budget of the trip....basically drawing the cost of the trip to you....ticket, shopping in the UK (if you plan to do that) accommodation(if you will be hosted then your host should provide evidence of accommodation for you) transport within the UK(if your host will be taking you around then he/her should state that in the IV), list of places you tend to visit while in the UK.

Employment letter, salary account, leave letter and IV from the person inviting you.

If the cost of ticket alone will take up to 2 months of your salary then it will be a tough one.

The visa fee varies just like you said but on the permite issue they will never issue a parmit visa for him without employment but he still has to use the agent or if he got other means cos even the visa it self is issued through a 3rd party. We have BDC's there.not just one but 3 reg ones.
