It's rather overrated, if even rated at all. These are the brightest areas and it still looks like a village. I've been there and besides states like Kogi, Abia, Borno, Illorin would be further down the list. |

It's pathetic. Must everything in this country be tarnished? Well I expect nothing less from a country where even funds meant for IDPs are diverted. GraGra247: |

I still think they can do more by blocking reported ads and blocking the suspected fraudulent accounts instead of allowing their ads to be on weeks after been reported. DWJOBScom: |

I miss the old days when the olx and jiji platform were genuine websites where someone can purchase brand new and fairly used items. I got some good deals over the years, the best been my PS Vita which I really enjoyed until I later sold it 'through olx as well'. The platform has currently been hijacked by all sorts of fraudsters advertising products at really appealling rates to lure a lot of desperate buyers to try and make them pay money upfront "as is entirely against the rules and policy", but because of the supposed incredibleness of the deal might be convinced to pay only to be defrauded. The fraudsters would ask your location first and would then declare themselves to be in a location very far from the buyer and would then request a delivery fee or an upfront payment to confirm interest before bringing the commodity along, and the buyer, eager to avoid having to travel that long distance would be convinced to pay. The annoyingly painful aspect is that even when some fraudulent ads are reported to olx or jiji handlers, they still leave the ads up and active which begs the suspicion that they are in on the act and might be receiving commissions from these fraudsters to leave their ads active. People are defrauded every single day on these platforms and because the money doesn't run into millions, they won't get the necessary attention from any anti graft agency. Something needs to be done and fast to checkmate the running of OLX and JIJI. |
