There has been some complaint from a few students on the recently published Time Table for GES 101. Since the batches were based on valid registrations, only duly registered students were invited and only this category of students can access CA assignments when published.
Also in respect of allocation for Project supervision of 400 and final year students, the same criterion applies. Our insistence on registration before any of our activities will end many problems like overcrowded classesand missing results among others.
Giving the importance of registration as a pre-activity (especially, Interactive Session) exercise, this is a further appeal to all our students that are not yet registered to do so between 2-9 April which will be the last opportunity for registration. We are giving this opportunity to encourage you to subscribe to best practice. The Portals will be closed (FINALLY) on 10th April. We appreciate students who are in good standing for their understanding.

Dear Student,
You will recall that in the last message to you all, it was stated that, in respect of students who were not able to register as at the February 28 deadline that,
In view of the pleas, I wish to assure all that are yet to register that we are looking into this and will get to the affected students on or before Monday, 11 March on the way forward. If there will be any concession at all, it will be for a very short period and there willbe no further excuses.
This message is therefore in fulfilment of the above. I am pleased to inform those that are yet to register that they WILL HAVE THE LAST OPPORTUNITY TO PAY AND REGISTER BETWEEN 2-9 APRIL, 2013 only. During this period, the Payment and registration portals will open. This is an advance notice as there will be no further consideration at all.
It should be noted that THE NEW DEADLINE APPLIES TO ALL DLC STUDENTS INCLUDING THOSE WHO APPLIED FOR CHANGE OF COURSE/DEPARTMENT AND FINAL YEAR STUDENTS IN THE FACULTY OF THE SOCIAL SCIENCES.
We sincerely apologise to those of our students who registered as at when due, who did not even wait for any deadline. We have to go this way to encourage our students to develop appropriate culture. We are getting closer to set goals. This is just a phase that will soon fizzle out following which we will herald a glorious dawn.

As a reminder to 400 and 500 level students, the Project Writing and E-Supervision Workshop is holding on Friday and Saturday in Ibadan. Affected students are advised to attend take advantage of the Workshop that will assist them in completing their Final Year Projects. Details on time, venue and batch willbe sent shortly.

A guy mentioned admission statistics, according to my state gov, mimiko, "facts are sacred". If you're close to an Akokites u must have heard them refer to their sch as "university of 1st choice". The fact is according this yr jamb statistics, Unilag still leads other universities in terms of number of applicants followed by unizik which has been the case over the years.

Side attractions: unilag is the only Nigerian university with an aquatic environ. You need to see our lagoon front. Unilag library has the highest collections of books, journals in Nigeria but Unn has the biggest library in terms of size; what is the essence of size without content. Our senate building is the tallest in Africa. Do u know we also have a robotics lab? I'm willing to write more for the love of my sch. Greatest Akokites!

Due to unforeseen development, the proposedTOWN HALL MEETING forDLC students in Lagos is hereby rescheduled for Sunday, 18th November, 2012(at 2.00 pm) contrary to earlier announcement. However, the date for Ibadan Centre remains unchanged .

MATRICULATION AND ORIENTATION OF FRESH STUDENTS
The Matriculation Ceremony for Fresh students will take place on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the newly completed InternationalConference Centre (second gate), University of Ibadan while the Orientation will hold on Friday 9th and Saturday, 10th, November, 2012. Students are expected to be seated by 8.30 at all events. Please note that, only students that had paid their fees will be be allowed at both events. Please check details of Programme of Events, other procedures including obtaining Matriculation gowns, ID cards,Course materials (immediatelyafter Orientation) on the Website from 24th October, 2012. ON RESUMPTION: I am putting up this post to once again address the issue of resumption once again. We have sufficiently provide the information on what RESUMPTION UNDER DISTANCELEARNING CONNOTES. Resumption starts as soon as students register and collect their course materials for private study with assistance from Academic Advisors. It is after students might have read these course materials that they come for Interactive Session which is for revision for students to have clearer understanding. It is also expected from this session that students would have completed their Continuous Assessment before coming for the Interactive Session. Resumption does not start when you come for Interactive Session. With this, Returning Students have resumed with the commencement of Registrationwhich will be followed with collection of Course Materialsand CA assignment with deadlines for submission.
