Mimiko is deceiving himself. He's a spent force. An undivided APC minus the current poor performance at the centre would've resoundingly thrashed the PDP in the state, considering how divided the PDP in the state currently is, add to that Mimiko's current low popularity ratings. The APC did it during the last presidential elections (when the PDP wasn't even as divided as it presently is), dispelling the myth of Mimiko's perceived invincibility. But as things stand, the APC is probably just as unpopular as Mimiko is in the state, if not more so, no thanks to the party's abysmal performance at the federal level, and the division within the state chapter of the party. Many Ondo APC folks are working against the party in this election, especially in the Northern Senatorial district where Aketi (Owo), Borroffice (Akoko SouthWest/SouthEast), and Abraham (Akoko NorthWest/NorthEast) all hail from.

This set are more like 'sleeper cells' who refuse to leave the party or openly speak against it, but are actively working to sabotage it from within. As it stands, Aketi needs the Akokos (who dominate 4 of the 6 local governments in the Northern Senatorial district) without whom he should forget the election, and these set have already endorsed Oke/Dauda. That's 4 local governments in the North senatorial district right there

Mimiko could only deliver Ondo West and Ondo East LGs out of the 6 LGs in his supposed Central district powerbase to GEJ during the last pres. elections; he lost both Akure North and South (the largest voting bloc), Ifedore and Idanre to the APC even as a seating governor. That humiliation gave birth to his calculation to endorse an Akure indigene in the person of Jegede, in his desperation to sway their emotions and whip up sentiments this time around to support 'their son/one of their own' and help him stay relevant politically.

In fact, the Southern Senatorial District of Oke gave the PDP the most votes in that presidential election while Mimiko failed to deliver upon all his noise, coz GEJ/PDP won in ALL 6 LGs in Ondo South. That's Oke's constituency and he's not just any politician but a seasoned grassroot type (he's worth at least 150k votes on his own), he can DELIVER the entire 6 local governments, while Aketi at best can only be SURE of Owo and Ose in the North (even the last time he contested and came third behind Mimiko and Oke, it was Tinubu's ACN structures that he rode on). The Central Senatorial district will be the battleground.

You sound so officious but you hardly understand the nature of what you are talking about. Actually these IMTOs you talk about didn't have much to do with the Abokis as you claim as they didn't send much FX into Nigeria. What they did was bulk currency swaps and this is how they operated: they would first collect the FX from the thousands of people wanting to send hundreds and thousands of FX to Nigeria, then they go into swap deals with people in Nigeria that needed bulk FX overseas. The guys in Nigeria will pay naira into the IMTO Nigerian account, and the IMTO will in turn pay the FX into the designated foreign accounts of the Nigerian counterpart. Simple process! Now the IMTO is able to pay to the diaspora Nigerians something close to the black market rate because their Nigerian counterparties are happy to get the bulk FX they needed without going through the bottleneck of official FX transactions, and are therefore willing to pay the black market rate for that convenience. The IMTOs in turn make their money from the small transaction charges they get from the diaspora individual, and the very little difference between what they charge their Nigerian counterparties and what they pay the diaspora Nigerian.
Your can question the morality or patriotism of this practice, but that is an entirely separate matter. The fact is that most people make economic decisions based on self interest and not some woolly headed notions of patriotism. The environment that created this practice was not created by the IMTOs or the diaspora Nigerian. It was created by the policies of the CBN and the Nigerian govt which has fostered a situation of a wide gulf between the official inter-bank rate and the black market rate. Until the CBN works to eliminate or drastically narrow this gulf, this practices will continue, and it is actually detrimental to the economy for the CBN to try to curtail it as such endeavor only has the unintended consequence of reducing the supply of the FX supply to the economy.

Why can't the government/CBN encourage the budding money operators here in Nigeria. Honestly, this administration has got to be the most clueless.

Just 2 weeks back, they banned domestic money operators thereby hindering forex coming into the country when the investors have no clue how to get their funds back.

There's no FDI coming into Nigeria anymore. Instead they're all moving out. A lot of companies are on the verge of shutting down because of the fluctuations affecting the FX market.

How can they ask IMTO to come to Nigeria when we have a lot of people who operate the same business.

Anyways, I said it then that this change will probably be the death of us all.

For those looking to buy the new Samsung Galaxy S7 edge please take note that the Micro SD Card access that came with Mashmallow where you can use your Micro SD Card as internal memory to store apps has been removed by Samsung in the S7 edge. Their argument was that it was no longer needed since the phone comes with 32gb internal hdd outerbox. So if you are buying take note. You can only use your micro sd card to store media files ONLY.

thing is to a fellow like me that money will change my life for good. I started fearing apple security the day FBI began begging them to release one kind code which they wanted to be able to unlock the phone of one suspected terrorist. From begging to threat then court. Imagine a whole FBI with access to best hackers in the world and when they eventually found a backdoor with the help of one isreali hack group Apple had to update her devices with a security patch to avoid any other device from being at risk

Correct. That's what I been trying to explain. A phone is not meant to be used continuously until the battery dies. Where the iPhone shines is in standby time, like u keep ur phone in ur pocket for say 2 hour with 60% battery, it not drop a single % while the s7 might end up dropping up to 4-5%. So for normal usage under 24 hours the iPhone will have more juice than any Samsung phone.

I currently use the S4 and the battery life is now so embarrassing. On a full charge and going full throttles on Internet and heavy usage the battery cannot last more than two hours. I have used the device for about two years now. Samsung batteries tend to depreciate so fast. That is where Apple is better, simple. No need for any arguments on this one, it's an incontrovertible fact.

But when it comes to beautiful display Samsung completely outshines Apple with the AMOLED Screens and solid camera features. But if you need a durable product with good resale value the iPhone is it. I am fed up of Android and will hopefully wait for the iPhone 7, if the iPhone 7 doesn't cut it I will wait for the Apple 10th Anniversary iPhone 8.

I have been using a galaxy s6 for over a year, great phone, terrible battery. I have to charge it at least 3 times a day. If I have 100% by 7am... By 12 noon it would be down to 20% with power saving on. If u use my iPhone 5s the same way I would still have 50% by noon without power saving on. IPhone 5s has a considerable smaller battery than galaxy s6. If that is not first hand experince enough then what is? If I have 100% battery by 10pm and go to bed, by the time I'm up by 6am I would have like 93%... On my iPhone I wouod still have 100%. This has been the case with the s5, s4 and s3 which I've used. The only Samsung flagship I didn't buy is the s7, but would probably get the note 7.

The area Samsung phones shine is while watching videos, but for Web browsing it consumes more battery than iphones.

I think I can't emphasize more than what has been said there about the iPhone 6s I've used it but sold it 3 days later why? You just have a solid phone you can't tweak to your taste.

Mind you I was coming from Note 5 after selling the iPhone 6s I got Galaxy S7 edge....let me summarize it in one sentence "End of discussion"
From freedom of tweaking to custom roms down to dust and water resistance I actually went swimming with it the second day . Then if you ever dive into the world of virtual reality which is an amazing feature you could actually take a tour to your favorite destination, go skydiving or mountain climbing..... This isn't like a movie you watch on the TV it actually feels like you are right there you can interact with object..... Adrenaline rush when someone points a gun at you.

As for battery I took out some bloatwares.... I'm a heavy user if I leave the house by 7am with 100% battery I come back around 6pm with about 60% battery so you can comfortably go the whole day with a full charge.

Camera? It has an edge over iPhone 6s that's understandable cos it was released this year.

You can actually slot in 256GB memory card if you so wish.
Dual Sim option if you so wish.

Lastly head to Galaxy s7 edge palace on XDA forums you could yet discover the feats the monster phone could achieve.

My last words.
If you are not interested in tweaks, customization and freedom that comes with Android please get IPhone 6s you won't regret it besides the restrictions. on the contrary bros galaxy S7 edge is a joy to behold.

If u like ios then buy it... U can't go wrong with the 6s or 6s plus. If u can afford the 6s plus then even better because it has a better battery (one of the phones with the best battery life, 2,750 mah lasts longer than lots of android with 4,000mah, best standby time)

Display: both have great display, 6s is 720p while 6s plus is 1080p... Both are sharp with great viewing angles, great contrast and can be read in direct sunlight. The 6s with 720p has a sharper display than lots of android with 1080p because of the screen size.

Camera: great camera, might not be better than galaxy s7 camera but the iPhone camera is up there among the best mobile phone cameras . 6s plus is slightly better because it has ois.

Apps; lots and loads of apps, not just apps but well polished apps.

Design: do I need to say anything? Iphones have always have great designs, those things are well built.

Performance: there's no phone out there that is faster than the iPhone 6s or 6s plus. With 2gb of ram it multitasks better than any android with 4gb of ram.

Downside: no sd card support, so u might wanna get one with at least 32gb storage. Also ur music library can only be managed using iTunes, no Bluetooth file transfer, ur iTunes library can only be managed by one computer, use an other computer to sync and u lose all ur files. No file manager, u can't side load apps. However most of these can be possible when u jailbreak. I no longer have time for jailbreaking, rooting or tweaking, but let people like somehowpenis come and shed more light.
