The truth is that Kenya has more to gain from a Union with Tanzania. It's just like Kenyans want to reap from where they did not sow.

I dare Kenyans here to tell us what Tanzanians stand to gain by a joint union with you guys

Tanzania has a larger market, larger landmass, more minerals etc

This is just like Nigeria and other West Africans. I always wonder what we Nigerians stand to gain from other West Africans in a union. Well, in our case, I think LANDMASS. Other parts of West Africa have a larger landmass than Nigeria (Most of these lands are deserts afterall).

In as much as we have our differences, I really think a united East African republic with Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi will be a very progressive country.

By next year, all of West Africa hopes to use a single currency which will make us a single economy.
You east Africans speak a common language (swahili) compared to we West Africans who do not even understand each other.

With the character of Kenyans here, I can definitely see that Kenya should be the major hindrance to East African unity. They are just so poisonous and obnoxious. Gosh! But hey what are we going to do? We already share skin colour and race with them. Whether we like it or not, the destinies of all Black Africans are tied together somehow.

Letter to all kenyans

Here is a message for all the kenyans. Please please kenya you have to block aliko dangote from investing in your country the guys hands is not clean. Just look what he did to nigeria and zambia put these countries in massive debt. He will come to your country kenya and promise you heaven and earth in investments daddy is going to reduce the price of cement yes you will do that for 6 months then jack the price 3-4 times higher like what he did in nigeria. If you want to sell your cement company it is better to give it to the german company than to give it to him. Even south africa is beginning to regret that he invested in their cement sector because the price of cement has been going up steadily and he is to blame. Kenyans must not fall in this trap of empty promises.

This is more realistic. Nigeria if about twice Kenya GDP wise - with about half of that being Oil production GDP. Anything else is cooked. South Africa is about 4-5 times richer.

What your saying a country like Tanzania,Egypt,Norway,Algeria,Mozambique etc shouldn't develop their propane gases for power so that we can compete in geothermal?

Great pictures. I think more such investment in Northern Kenya will accelerate poverty reduction - already poverty has come down from 80-90% 10 years go to 50-60%. I think one more decade and their poverty will reduce to 30%.

Hopefully the new Ethiopian gov and Kenya gov will finally spur trade btw the two nations - and help jump start the economy of the north - together with LAPSET.
