okpouman:We are talking about Black Africans. Nobody said they are your direct ancestors. Do you know you share DNA with them, even though they are “Muslims”? In fact how do you know your distant ancestors did not migrate from Mali or Sudan? Do you know Africans travelled around the continent and beyond, before the colonial era? Truth is until you do an ancestral DNA test, you’ve no idea where your ancestors really came from. They could have migrated from Congo or the Songhai empire to the north, of which north east Nigeria was a part, and hence contributed to the Moorish population which civilised Europe. So it’s more than possible that you are descended from the Moors. |
okpouman:Who told you they didn’t practice native spirituality? There was always an incorporation of the native dimension. It wasn’t shunned. The reason they adopted Islam was that after the loss of Kemet (or Egypt) to Arab invaders in the 7th century the trans-Saharan trade became dependent on having good relations with the fanatical Arab Islamists and nomads of the north, who would attack or block caravans from non-Muslim kings etc. So it was economic. In no way does that deviate from their indigenous knowledge of astronomy, mathematics, law, ethics, metallurgy, philosophy, architecture, medicine and the sciences, which Enriched Islam, since African knowledge in those areas predated Islam by over 150,000 years. |
SpatialKing:What?? |
See Lagos turning to Singapore and Tokyo before our eyes. See enjoyment. Onitsha, Aba, Enugu also deserves this metro of a thing. Soludo, Otti and co, how far nau? You have to go beyond tarring roads and start building stuff like this. Or do people in Lagos have two heads? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSC_T61zxlI?si=xE81AJbYF2T-wiah |
But I thought they were married a long time ago, with kids. I’m surprised to hear about this wedding stuff in Miami. |
walosky:In your colonised heads that equate light skin with beauty, perhaps. |
I don’t understand why they did this in LA instead of Lagos or Abuja. Are they Americans? |
Pls which party is Obi in now? The man seems to be in every party. Does anyone know which party he is in |
A fanatical supporter of Peter Obi causing commotion inside the aeroplane. Had to be dragged out by security as he screamed “Obi Datti! Obi Datti!” https://youtube.com/shorts/E7zvmtfHFNE?si=39rFugtUmdIQRZZQ Seriously, Obi needs to call his boys to order. I don’t know why they have to be so thuggish in everything they do. ![]() |
mecuries:Football is about far more than stats. I’m sure Jack Grealish has better ‘stats’ than Okocha, but he is not fit to wipe Okocha’s boots. Also, it’s only among you young “Nigerians” that we see this constant swipe at Okocha over his ‘stats’. How many of his games did you watch? Or you just watched a few clips, checked his ‘stats’ and then think you know him? On YouTube, videos of him get millions of views and comments of admiration from across the world. Nobody gives a damn about his ‘stats’. Just like no one cares about Ronaldinho’s stats. Or Bebeto. Or Pele. Or Neymar. Or Maradona. Some players are above ‘stats’. Jay Jay Okocha is one of them. Real football fans who love the game, know this. |
Where is the liquor nau? I was expecting to see rows of exotic wines, tequilas, vodkas etc. The place even looks somehow compared to the way you hyped it. 🧐 |
okpouman:What ''grandparents''?? Your grandparents were children when the colonialists were drilling anti-African propaganda into their heads after coercing them to become christian after demonising their traditional spirituality, after bombarding, burning down and looting their cities, such as Great Benin. Your grandparents know NOTHING about pre-colonial Nigeria or Africa. Do they know that Iron Smelting - the technology responsible for the modern world we enjoy today, was invented in Lejja, near Nsukka over 4,000 years ago? Do they know that we manufactured glass and exported manufactured soap to Europe before the colonialists invaded? Do they know that the Benin Empire built a wall that was 4 times longer than the Great Wall of China? Do they know that Benin City had streetlights and underground drainage 300 years before London? Do they know that Yoruba binary mathematics, with its 256 elements is the root of modern computing, with its 256 codes? Of course they don't. Of course you don't. If you want to know your pre-colonial history, you need to READ and RESEARCH it. |
okpouman:You know nothing about what anybody talks about, including me. You simply came across this topic, and you can't stand it, because it depicts ancient Africans in a light you have been taught did not exist. It is self-loathing to read the illustrious history of your ancestors, and be hostile to it, whether such history was made in Africa or in Alaska or in China. The question is ''Why do you detest your ancestral history of glory?'' |
okpouman:Use your eyes! https://i.pinimg.com/1200x/9b/b6/49/9bb64986be75cdf6e60e76150670d5da.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/736x/4d/fe/bf/4dfebfdd3f5b8a03f2ba7dbb34f22d4f.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/736x/a3/db/03/a3db0380694d462843147e94cadb67ee.jpg These moors were Muslims ,even if they were black, their knowledge wasn't indigenous because they were MuslimsSo, your religion is what determines your knowledge, in your head? How so? |
BlackViper:What is false about it? Name ONE thing you saw that is not true in that video. The level of self loathing among you so-called Nigerians is deeply alarming. As far as you are concerned, courtesy of your colonial miseducation, all your ancestors did was sit in the village and bush. Anything else must be a lie. God help you. |
motymop:Actually we saw them worshiping Your culture and history which the colonialists have taught you to hate. |

aribisala0:Garbage. Those artefacts showed AFRICAN attired monarchs. Black people emerged from AFRICA. No other place. Not Europe or Asia. Africa. The oldest human fossils are in Africa. The Out of Africa thesis has scientific consensus. There is no different types of black. Black is black is black is black. When you see African civilisation in full flow, don't talk Off Point. |
FreeIgboho:Africans established the first empires in Asia. China, India, etc. The evidence is still there. The Mogao caves in China show paintings of ancient black settlers, rulers and priests. They even built pyramids in China. Are you actually aware that the entire Earth was black for over 190,000 years? That so-called white people only emerged around 7,000 years ago, some say as albinoid mutant populations? Even the entire Europe was originally black. The first Europeans were blacks from Africa. They had empires and kings and queens there for tens of thousands of years before the white race was born. They've found their remains. You can Google 'Ice man', 'Cheddar man', 'Grimaldi man' etc. These are the earliest discovered human fossils in Europe. Carbon-dated to 10,000 to 40,000 BCE. All black African. We started the whole world!!! |
This should be front page, surely... I mean, it's not as if we're taught this in school. Our ancestors were indeed great. |

Jostoman:It better be that, because I see no reason why that man called Jonathan deserves another term in office! |
I’m sick of hearing about this man entering the race for the presidency. Somebody needs to ask him what he forgot in Aso Rock that he wants to go back and collect. The audacity of putting the country through another period of massive embezzlement with the likes of ‘Diamond Bra’ Diezani, Ibori, Dino ‘Lambhorgini’ Melaye, Atiku, and all these clowns feels one with great depression. Jonathan needs to respect himself and continue enjoying his retirement. Not come and cause confusion in the country when we are still busy fixing the damage he caused! Please stop. 🙏 |
