On the tracker..it says this and I got these 2 messages the same day I submitted my passport. And the message on the tracker hasn't changed for over 1 week.

Don't worry you will get another message, mine was like that for 2 weeks.

I got a mail for passport collection in Lagos 2 weeks after the first message. Funny enough my wife's and children's passports were ready for collection 6 days after submission though we submitted the same day.

You will get another mail soon. Just relax

Has anyone had this situation in which you received PPR, but background verification is still in progress. You submitted passport, but background verification still progress.

I received PPR on the 5th of July, and Lagos VFS acknowledged passport receipt on Monday 10th which is like 2 weeks ago. It is still with IRCC and the status on the application tracker still shows 'in progress'.
I'm just wandering the reason for delay in passport stamping. Could this background verification be the reason? But why would they request PPR when background verification is not yet completed.
I have an upcoming trip to another country and I need this passport back.

What other messages have you gotten from VFS apart from the one stating that your passport is in transit to the IRCC office?

Pls I want to know, I went to VFS abuja on 27th June to submit passport of family of 5 Canada, on Monday 3rd July I received a mgs that 4 out of the 5 passport is been courier but have not gotten it yet , my as the principal when I try to track the id is saying is on under process. Pls can anyone advice what to do.

@Bobo2 how did you resolve this problem? I have a similar situation, submitted passports for family of four in person at Lagos. 3 passports are ready for collection, mine is still saying it has been forwarded to the Canada office since 12th of July 2023

Anyone with similar experience for family submission can also help.

I have chatted with VFS but chimaka was not helpful and I have sent webform to ircc no response too. I have sent emails to both vfs and ircc no response

And I need the passport for other processes

Please what can I do in this situation?

We submitted our passports in person as a family at Lagos VAC for Visa stamping on the 11th of July 2023.

Yesterday the 18th of July 2023, the passports of my wife and our 2 children were ready for collection at the Lagos VAC office, however, mine is still showing on the tracker Your application, tracking ID No. xxxxxxx has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre, Abuja OC on Wed Jul 12, 2023, and is in transit to the IRCC Office in Abuja OC for processing.

I don’t know why my own passport stamping is delayed.

the problem now is getting a date to sbmit the passports within the 30 days. All days are fully booked up in Lagos within the 30 days frame. any solution?
