Tinubutoto: fool, Ijaw people are more than 6 million. even more than 10 million. u don't even know Ijaw people in Nigeria. to u, it's just Bayelsa bah? The thread is about the Tivs and the ijaws but see |
Politics › Re: The Fourth Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Kyase(op): 11:27am On Feb 07, 2016 |
Kuyo: You are wrong ijaw are not up to 6 millions. The population of bayelsa is not more than 1.5 million. Ijaw in Delta are not more than 400,000 and the will not be more than 1 million in Rivers state Thank you |
Politics › Re: The Fourth Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Kyase(op): 11:16am On Feb 07, 2016 |
oikechukwu: One thing I can verify as false is his claim that ijaws are 20% in delta. In 2014, they claimed they were the largest, after that got defeated, now they are claiming 20%. Okay ooo That's serious |
Politics › Re: The Fourth Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Kyase(op): 10:56am On Feb 07, 2016 |
Tinubutoto: All of ranting about Ijaw not being the 4th largest, pls don't forget Ijaw has about 9 local government areas in Rivers or there about. the Kalabari, the Okrikas, the Opobos the Bonnis, are all Ijaws. in Delta state, Ijaw has almost 20% of the total population. in fact, after Urhobo, Delta Ibo, the next tribe is Ijaw. In Edo state we Ijaws in Oviasouth west and east. In Ondo state, u v the Ese Odo people, that is where Kuku and the current apc chairman of Ondo state came from. In Akwa Ibom, u v the Eastern Obodo and Ibuno local government areas for Ijaw. Ijaw are found in 6 states of Nigeria. they have 5 senators, and prior to ds Buhari regime, they used to av d least 3 ministers. currently they have a governor and 2 deputy governors. so tell me about yo mumu tiv people Can someone please confirm this |

TonyeBarcanista: Who was part of the few that governed the State? Am I Jonathan? I don't blame you! I really don't! If not for the system we won't be talking this. If the British had consulted my ancestors in 1914, I am very sure we would have rejected the arrangement. If the British had addressed our concern in the 1940s, I'm very sure that all these won't come up! If Jonathan had convoked SNC, we would have addressed this nonsense. Both are ijaw |

Ugomba: Ijaws Are NOT the 4th largest tribe. - The Oil Rivers and Toru-Ibe states that they are agitating for is Controversial, because many lands they put in the map of these proposed two agitated states DO NOT BELONG TO THEM. |
Politics › Re: The Fourth Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Kyase(op): 9:48am On Feb 07, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: Write a project and attach Wikipedia as source. Isn't that obvious? Some people never heard of ijaw tribe in some part of this country, not until Jonathan became president, even at that some referred to him as IBO. |

Politics › Re: The Fourth Largest Ethnic Group In Nigeria by Kyase(op): 9:44am On Feb 07, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: @OP this isn't a question pls!
How can you compare the population of Tiv and Ijaw? Ijaw that is present in Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Delta and Ondo states? The reason behind this argument(non argument really) is because Ijaws have been balkanised by the Nigeria State into different states(some states as minorities). This is why we are agitating for Toru Ibe and Oil Rivers states. Ijaws deserve 3 exclusive Ijaws states to tell its status.
In fact, it shall not be well with the British How did Nigeria balkanized the ijaws. Don't forget you are part of the few that rule the state |

Udmaster: it was Edwin Clark who started diz fraud of Ijaws being 4th largest tribe. Tiv people are the 4th largest tribe. Ijaws make up 95% of Bayelsa, small population in Delta and Rivers. Ijaws will be around 6million.. The Tiv are the 4th largest ethnic group in Nigeria. Tiv language is spoken by about 7 million people in Nigeria, with a few speakers in Cameroon. http://howng.com/tiv-people-and-their-culture/ |

Psalm18: You think the judge will sentence metuh based on media trials and judgement passed on nairaland.. Wake up from dreaming..the law courts don't work that way. You present hard evidence, You get reliable witnesses You ensure there is no doubt in the mind of the judge It's a dogged battle
Fani kayode was convicted on pages of newspaper. He is free today. Ibori was set free in a Nigeria court. Dariye has been in court for over ten years now.
We all heard on the phone, the voice of farouk lawan asking for bribe. I believe he is still a senator today So many others. All this happened during the ineffectual buffoon In case you have forgotten, Buhari is the president now |
