Most times when we talk about suicide or discuss people who committed suicide, we often blame them or label them cowards. It is also popular to hear people say those who commit suicide would end up in hell as punishment.

Let us not be quick to judge those who commit suicide.

Depression is real and it can be very overwhelming.
Truth is it hurts when a loved one takes his/her life but we should not be quick to use that single act to judge such people.


I have suffered depressing at several points of my life and i understand how it can be. It only ends in suicide when:

1. You keep to yourself: share the problem with friends.
2. Have close friends and family members that you can share your burdens with.
3. Look at the big picture. Your problem most times is not as bad as you think. Ask yourself 'What is the worst thing that would happen?'
Then ask yourself aint there people in worse situations?
4. Laugh at yourself and call yourself stvpid. yeah we all very stvpid. You broke? Damn! Laugh at yourself. Your bf/gf just broke up with you? Laugh! In serious debt? Laugh!
5. Consult with others on the problem, get different perspectives even if you dont let them know you are the one in the situation

OAU Post-UTME/DE Screening Form is Out – 2018/19 (Cut-Off Mark: 200)

OAU Post-UTME/DE registration, cut-off mark, application cost, screening date and deadline for the 2018/2019 academic session have been announced. Cut-off mark is 200. Application cost is N2000. Registration begins Aug 6th and ends Aug 31st. Screening holds September 1st – 7th. Details below;

Candidates who made the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first choice in the 2018 UTME and scored 200 and above, and those who applied for Direct Entry (DE) are hereby informed to log on to the admissions portal, admissions.oauife.edu.ng or the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife website (www.oauife.edu.ng) to register for the POST-UTME screening exercise effective from August 6, 2018.

Method Of Application

Candidates are required to visit admissions.oauife.edu.ng and login with their JAMB Registration Number to commence the on-line registration process for the screening exercise. Candidates will be required to obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

Applicants for the Screening Exercise will be required to do the following on the University admissions portal admissions.oauife.edu.ng

1.      Update JAMB data

2.      Upload Results (i.e WAEC, NECO, JUPEB, ND, NCE etc)

3.      Upload scanned copy of credentials

4.      Upload passport photograph (if not available)

5.      Print completed Admission Screening form

Applicants that provide false information, or upload incorrect credentials will automatically be disqualified.

Post-UTME Aptitude Test Screening Date

Candidates will also be required to participate in the Post-UTME screening on their allotted date and time between 1st and 7th September, 2018.

Closing Date

The closing date for screening of all candidates UTME/DE is 31st August 2018.

Applicants should note that the screening fee is N2,000. They will however be required to pay appropriate bank charges.

OAU direct entry is quite simple. I think you'll obtain their form and send your transcript over to the school for evaluation as early as possible. I don't really know about the amount but the process is quite transparent as few of my friends were admitted.

Requirement is minimum of upper credit.

There was this lady I had as friend back then during my teenage years, unfortunately we parted ways. Later we became United again and eventually fell in love with each other, though she took the first move and I gladly accepted! I respected her affections and wouldn't wanna play with her heart or emotions...... The night she told me she loved me and would like me to be her boyfriend was the happiest day of my life (who wouldn't take such offer from a long time crush?) at first I thought she might suddenly start misbehaving just like the way some ladies does, but lo and behold she became the Queen of my heart, she eventually becomes too beautiful day after day..... She calls me, visit me, take me to the hospital when I'm sick, take me out on a date, show me to her friends, recharge my phone, send me love messages in the night and in the morning, she cooks for me, she gave me her ATM card and pin though I never requested for it neither have I ever withdrew from her, she buys me clothes.... I can't even list all she did for me..... It came to a time that I called her to my home a certain night and I cried my eyes out just for love she had for me, she also became so emotional and joined me in crying, she cuddled me and wiped my tears...... OAU ADMISSION SCREENING REQUIREMENTS.
The minimum entry requirements to the first year is a General Certificate of Education (or equivalent) with Credit passes in at least five subjects chosen from a list approved from time to time by Senate provided that in each case all the five subjects are taken and passed at not more than two sittings.

One of the passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in English Language.
Except in the cases of candidate for admission to the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law, and for the Bachelor of Arts in Education in the Faculty of Education, one of the credit passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in Mathematics.
A pass in the General Paper of the Higher School Certificate is regarded as equivalent to a credit pass in English Language at ‘O’ Level.

Candidate’s Name, JAMB Registration Number, Telephone Number and E-mail address should be quoted at the point of payment.

(b) Payment Option

Credit/Debit card payment using ATM card;
Cash at bank using the printout from the portal to make payment at the bank;
Direct bank Account debit whereby internet banking tools are used to make payment.
Candidates are expected to print the payment success receipt which should display full names of the candidate as indicated on the Direct Entry form slip preceded by the JAMB registration number, as the payee and the payment reference number showing success message. Upon successful payment, candidates should proceed on the portal to submit their bio-data and all credentials (SSCE/NECO/O’L, GCE A’L, NCE/ND/HND).

Candidates are advised to fill the online forms carefully, following all instructions, as “mistake(s)”may lead to disqualification. Candidates are expected to upload their photographs and signatures. The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed 50KB. The photographs must be clean, clear and without glasses. Candidates are then to print the evidence of completion of transaction and keep for further reference.

Misrepresentation/falsification of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and in appropriate cases be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agencies. Candidates are strongly advised to adhere strictly to the guidelines stipulated above for successful completion of the online submission.
