CaptainKool15: One reason people don't give info on nairaland is this.
Did anyone flag the job as scam or what?? Not at all. They sounded like the company isn't ready to recruit Nigerians for now...that's all I gathered from the comments...and that's what I was referring to. |

P'S: all this new theorists sef It should probably be something like that of Shell. I just pray for God's grace. I don't like discrediting anyone especially when I do not have any facts to counter their claims...but one thing for sure is: a company of this nature wouldn't put up vacancies if they do not intend filling them. We can only speculate because we are on the outside and do not fully grasp the inner workings of this company, but those who are in charge of recruitment know enough to advertise for vacant positions. So, let's take it one step at a time. Good luck to everyone. |

But no mail for video and all The mail only stated that in the new few days, further information will me communicated on the next steps. The on demand video interview you guys got is what I don't understand. The on-demand video interview is supposed to be the next stage after the logical reasoning test. |

I did the logical test on the 21st being Friday, and only got the logical reasoning success mail and the on-demand video interview invite mail today. The thing is: there's no link through which I can access the video interview page. I have sent them a mail. |

Phones › This Android Ransomware Threatens To Expose Files by LaClicKLaBenDin(op): 5:33pm On Jul 11, 2017 |
This Android ransomware threatens to expose your browsing history to all your contactsLeakerLocker forgoes using encryption, instead choosing threats to make money out of victims. A form of Android ransomware which threatens to send the victim's private information and web history to all of their contacts has been discovered in the official Google Play app store. Uncovered by researchers at McAfee, LeakerLocker doesn't actually encrypt the victims' files, but instead claims to have made a backup of data stored on the device and threatens to share it with all of the user's phone and email contacts. Those behind the malware demand $50 in exchange for not leaking personal data including photos, Facebook messages, web history, emails, location history and more, playing on fears of potential embarrassment rather than any form of cryptography. Two applications in the Google Play Store contained the malware, Wallpapers Blur HD, which has been downloaded between 5,000 and 10,000 times, and Booster & Cleaner Pro, which has been downloaded between 1,000 and 5,000 times. The combined number of downloads means that up to 15,000 people have fallen victim to this ransomware, which has been in the Google Play Store since at least April. Both apps have good review scores, suggesting that those behind the scheme have been giving them fake reviews. Once downloaded, LeakerLocker asks for vast swathes of permissions, including the ability to manage calls, read and send messages, and have access to contacts -- overreaching for the apps the malware is claiming to be -- before communicating with a receiver, initiating the malicious activity and locking the homescreen of the device with the extortion threat. It's true that the malware can gain access to private information -- thanks to its victims granting permissions at installation time -- but not all the private data LeakerLocker claims to have access to can be seen or leaked. However, analysis of the code shows it's capable of at least accessing an email address, some contact information, Chrome browser history, text messages and calls, and photos from the camera. Snippets of this data are chosen at random to convince the victim that all their data has been copied -- although at this point the information hasn't actually been copied, but it could happen if the control server issues relevant instructions. This basic form of ransomware demands the ransom via credit card, although researchers advise infected victims not to pay because there's is no guarantee that the information will be released or not used to blackmail victims again. McAfee researchers have reported LeakerLocker to Google, which says it's "investigating" -- and it appears that the two apps including the malware have been removed from the Google Play store. It's far from the first time malware has infiltrated Android's official app marketplace and is indicative of Google's continuing battle against cybercriminals sneaking malware into the store. ZDNet has contacted Google for comment on LeakerLocker, but has yet to receive a reply at the time of publication. Politics › Re: United Nation Reacts To Arewa Group’s Threat Against Igbos by LaClicKLaBenDin(m): 11:03am On Jun 09, 2017 |
kingzizzy: You have it totally wrong. When Czechoslovakia split into Czech and Slovakia, neither side had to move anywhere. When Scotland was agitating for independence and got a referendum in 2014, at no time did anyone ask the the Scots to move back home. There are agitations for Monaco to leave france, no french person is telling them to move back to Monaco.
The reason why nobody is asking anyone to go home in these examples is because Czechs/Slovaks, Britain/Scotland and France/Monaco are all civilised people who recognise self deternination as a right of all people. The right of anyone to be independent is respected, the only thing people might differ on is the method of being independent.
But in a backward country like Nigeria, people do not respect the right of a section of the country to self determination. They dont even know what sovereignty is. Thats why the average Nigerian thinks that secession is the same as packing up to go home.
Im an Igbo man, it is my right to secede from Nigeria if I so wish. If Nigeria wants me to go back home, then no problem.
The problem is asking me to go home while holding the keys to my house. That is not fair. The Northern youths should have joined the call for the independence of Biafra before asking Igbos to go.
How can someone be practicing 'one Nigeria' while asking Igbos to go? Grant Igbos their country then tell them to go, not hold their independence and tell them to go, where will they go when they dont have a country?
This crazy. You Nigerians deny us Biafra and you tell us to go? Nna, someone needs to explain this logic to me. Please leave those uninformed people to go about displaying their skewed sense of reasoning. As if asking Igbos to leave is tantamount to disintegration. The only time I am going to take the North serious, is, if they go out and protest asking the government to call for a referendum and split the country, just like the Biafrans have been doing all over the world... Asking people who are still legally citizens of a country to leave one part of the country is being silly! |
Politics › Re: United Nation Reacts To Arewa Group’s Threat Against Igbos by LaClicKLaBenDin(m): 10:57am On Jun 09, 2017 |
IHEJIRIKAisBOKO: This Kaduna declaration saga has confirmed the already known fact that the ibos agitation for biafra is not well intentioned. The call for biafra is just the default mode that the ibos enter into whenever they loose out of the politics at the centre.
I had expected the ibos, in furtherance to their biafra ambition, would have started leaving the North following the ultimatum served by the Arewa Youths. But it seems the ibos would rather die in the North than go back to iboland
The ibos want to break away from Nigeria but at the same time want to remain in other part of Nigeria
The ibos want an independent iboland but they are afraid of going back to iboland
some of them even have this deluded assumption that in the event that they get their biafra country, they will still retain their citizenship as Nigerians and still stay in other part of Nigeria.
Jokers !! It's like you go on every thread that talks about this ultimatum and paste this epistle of yours...smh Please, give me one good and sensible reason why the Igbos should leave the North because of this ultimatum. If all the Igbos leave the North, will it bring about Biafra? Will that make the federal government to call a referendum? Will that automatically mean Nigeria has disintegrated? Sometimes I wonder why people are so petty! Igbos leaving the North in totality still doesn't guarantee nothing! Until something is done that legally disintegrates this country, nobody has any right to give anyone quit notice! In all the agitation for Biafra, I can't remember the Igbos giving northerners any quit notice, because that in itself doesn't guarantee anything! |

Aufbauh: The Biafra agitators never think it through the consequences of secession on their immediate socio-economic survival.
Now that the nonchalant Northern youths has taken their dream close to them couple with the seed of hatred they've sown all around, the eventual reality is starring them at the face with dreadful confusion. You folks just come to nairaland and type away your ignorance...smh What dream did the northern youths bring close? In all your knowledge you think secession is all about making threats on the pages of newspapers? And if I may ask; what seed of hatred have been sowed? Is exercising one's fundamental rights to self-determination amount to sowing seeds of hatred? Why hasn't one part of Spain asked those clamouring for Catalunya to leave their places of abode? I'm not in anyway supporting the Biafran agitation, but I am sick and tired of reading nonsensical comments here, all based on sentiments and all. Even if Biafra secedes today, you can't force Igbos out of any part of Nigeria, as long as they have papers and visas, and you can't even take away their properties, except through violence necessitated by envy and jealousy. Is living in another country a crime? Why should they force Igbos out of the north when this entity is still called Nigeria? They don't have the right to! And Igbos have the right to self-determination regardless of what you or anyone thinks. |
