Every true Christian should know this and avoid getting involved in such idolatry. Neither the sun nor the moon nor stars are to be faced while we pray. Our prayer is to Jesus Christ and the Father, not creations. We pray by the Holy Spirit and with the word of God.

Did I hear anyone say the parable of the "Elefo atan"?

I have been pondering recently on Ezekiel 8:15-17 to know what religion practises that style of worship nowadays and this has led me to read more of God's inspired Word in (Job.31:26-27; Deut.17:3) to ascertain those who actually worship the sun, moon and stars or even "the queen of heaven".


Job 31:26-27:
If I beheld the sun when it shined, or the moon walking in brightness;
And my heart hath been secretly enticed, or my mouth hath kissed my hand:

This is Job's fourfold denial of idolatory:
1.  If he beheld (in worship) the sun when it shined(v26)
2.  If he beheld (in worship) the moon when it became full 
3.  If his heart had been secretly enticed (to deny God in idol worship, v27)
4.  If his mouth had kissed his hand (which touched an idol).

These were the early forms of idolatory, the worship of sun and moon as well as images which men either kissed or touched, afterward kissing the hand that had touched the idol.


Deut. 17:2-3:
"If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded;"

It is an abomination to God if we worship the sun, moon, stars or other works of His hands.

I wonder which religion(s) fit these descriptions, your guess is as good as mine.  
King Solomon said that there is nothing new under the sun.

16 Then he brought me into the inner courtyard of the Lord’s Temple. The above captioned refers, it is worthy of note that the events recorded by Ezekiel occured at least two thousand years before a certain religion emerged and re-started this way of worship which God considers destestable and pagan worship. I wonder how this way of worship re-merged again.

Well, talking of falsh drive, I guess the two place you can get reliable flash drive now are Mega Plaza and Park n Shop at Adeola Odeku. Any other place, na oyo u deyo!, Don't even try places like Computer village in Ikeja, Lagos. Even if it's N1,500, The cheaper it is, the more evident it is that it's crap.

Just close ur eyes and face the 2 place i mentioned. The brand I use it call SANDISK, MICRO 256MB and I'm having no probs wit it. I advice u buy the sandisk brand too.
