My gut feeling is that we are going to have a bull in the post presidential election period. If Atiku wins, bull would be a massive one compared to that which may occur if Buhari wins. Prices might be seen at levels were they were during the last general bull period. Selah. |

Is this a pointer to what to expect after election fears are allayed and elections are over? Noting that both countries in red for 2019 returns are having elections in the first half of the year.

Some few days ago it was Zenith, FBN and Access with the volume. Yesterday, it was UBA. Today, it is GTB. Is FUGAZ trying to tell us something? |

onegentleguy: The concern of Morgans operational bank A/C as raised by @ Yayira has just been addressed. The MD/CEO has just informed me that there are plans in place to open up an alternative bank A/C for those who might not be comfortable with Polaris(formerly Skye bank). ...that A/C shall be ZENITH BANK . According to him, the process to have that in place is already in motion and should be finalized in a space of a few weeks or even less !!
On the concern of the N2500 yearly charge as raised by Sir Freeman67, I shall also put out a call to try and get the needed feedback from them and revert back to the house. Had to quickly get busy on other matters.
Regards. Morgan Capital had a Zenith Bank account before na. What happened to it? |

wanaj0: Nice one. However, there are many factors at play so difficult to distinguish the main contributing factors.
For example, the 2015 issue has more to do with the shock in the economy than election fever itself. A situation were oil price crashed and the reserve was falling at an alarming rate. Even if there is no election, the outcome I believe would have been the same.
In 2018, I doubt that election again is the main issue. I think it has more to do with what is going on external to Nigeria. Most emerging markets are either devaluing their currency or watching the markets take a beating. RSA is in recession! Even Asia companies are not left out. Most emerging market funds have lost like 10% in the last 6 months.
The political risks associated with election is understood and most times exaggerated. Perhaps the foreign guys are waiting on the sidelines for this, since oil price is not that stable. Global trade tensions plus Brexit dey there sef. |

BullBearMkt: Will NSE Index behave like Diamond Stock? After forcing many shareholders to sell their holdings in panic, Diamond stock rallied from a low at 0.66 to a high at 2.39 within a space of 2 weeks. This happened after Diamond broke a long time support located at 1.08. As that was not enough, it later created a lower low signalling that all may not be well with the stock. But all of a sudden, gbam! we saw a rejection candle, a higher - high and and and over 200% increase.
Just looking at the NSE index, I noticed it just broke a long term support; fell a bit and for the past 7 trading days, it's been bull upon bull. Now, I am wondering, could this be Diamond in the making? If yes, then I need the index to create a "high" or break exiting swing high at around 32000 and then we could have Diamond bank behaviour in the making . If I didn't see these features, then, I want to stay aside...
PLAN YOUR TRADES AND TRADE YOUR PLANS Should we still look forward to this kind of behavior next week? |

Michael11stock: What I believe is at this junction access and diamond will keep moving together. What really crashed the price of Access was fear by their shareholders, but now they believe all is well. Though this is subject to both shareholders to approve the merger during their meeting. Which we all know it is 80% approved already. If their industry leaders move upwards, what do you expect? |

rebekah2011: Not to be caught in the euphoria of a big bank ni. Access Bank will have a lot to battle with come 2019/2020. Maybe CBN will come to their aid for short term loan looking forward to their merged results FYE 2019 to 2021. CBN could help sha since na dem be the midwife. |

rebekah2011: The combination of Diamond and Access Bank is going to throw up a lot of surprises going forward. The NPLs of Access Bank at Q3 is around 4.7% and that of Diamond is around 40%. I wonder what it will be by Q4. By Q3 2019 both banks would have been consolidated and they expect the Npls to come down to around 14.1%. Access Bank may likely not pay dividend in 2019 because of high Npls. Anyway we have been told that the Access guys are great managers who can always turn around a bad business. I await to see their results going forward.
