RabbiDoracle: A company is really interested in you only on 2 occasions:
- when you want to be employed - when you want to leave.
The latter was the reason X increased his salary.
X is not happy being forced to increase salary because he wants to leave. If he stays back, they will so deal with him that he will even resign. We know them well.
to the part in bold, most people who stay are worse off in the long run. For me, once the cat is out of the bag by informing X, why wait? I suspect X and Y to be either banks or FMGCs. |

akinola98: PLEASE GUYS HELP!!!! answer below
I have 1 million shares with UCAP before closure but I just got a bank alert of 117k naira now which is far from what am expecting. Is it possible or someone in UCAP is trying to play smart This is a company that declares 50k per shares even though I know tax will be deducted but not more than 60% of the gross I also experienced this. Anybody else? This could be a short payment. |

Capital raising
The primary market promises to be busy in the year, although supplementary issues have mainly been a refunding of the companies by existing shareholders rather than issuance of new shares to new investors. Guinness Nigeria Plc plans to raise about N40 billion from its shareholders through a rights issue that may provide window for its parent company to increase controlling shareholding. Shareholders are expected to meet later this month to ratify the plan. Livestock Feeds Plc has also received approvals to raise about N1.1 billion new equity funds from its shareholders. Livestock Feeds plans to undertake a rights issue of 1.0 billion ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at a price of N1.10 per share. Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc also plans to raise N50 billion new equity funds from existing shareholders of the bank
Is this Livestock feeds story correct? read a "rumor" on this forum. let them issue the rights and it might go the way of the ones before them i.e access and oando |

This MC issue is actually a problem faced by many coys in Nig - key man risk, with no succession plan in place. We really cannot blame NSE especially when MC is actually less than 5 yrs old.
And this could have also been the issue with withdrawing as well. Perhaps the late Adu (RIP) was the sole signatory and upon death, the account was temporarily frozen while signatory issues are being sorted out. My thoughts. |

virtual3xpert: Hi guys!
I've been trying to process my E-mandate form at GTB for a while now all to no avail. Shareholder's number is being requested and I've provided them with the number on the dividend warrant sent to me by the registrars. I've been to two branches with the same result. I'm being told that details of my account could not be found and I've confirmed my shareholder number with the registrars. Has anyone encountered such or has an idea of what this 'shareholder number' is?
Thanks. I also encountered the same issue. Although shareholder number was requested for and sent via mail. Upon upload, I was told the number is wrong. |
