You should have opted for implants. Apart from the very irregular monthly flow, there seem to be no other side defects.
thanks.. but i'm on the big side, and implants as i was told are hormonals and they have side effects of weight gain.. so Hormornals were a no no for me..
Health / My Experience With Iud's--strictly FOR WOMEN by laginks: 3:00pm On Dec 01, 2015
Hi Everyone, i created this thread to share my experience using IUD's (AKA Copper Tee) and also learn from the experiences of others.
I have tried to surf the internet on experiences women have with Iud's, and i didnt get much information especially from Naija Women.
I am married with 2 boys, and left to me i'm done with having kids. The age difference between my two boys is about 4 years. All the while i had stuck to the natural method of checking your safe periods etc.. but i realised that most often, the safe period thing fails.
Recently i decided to go have an IUD inserted. Before the Dday, I had asked so many women including female doctors, nurses and friends what exactly to expect. Went to the Family Planning Clinicand had it done.. The nurse specifically told me while trying to allay my fears that it was the prefared option for most nigeria women.
After the procedure, I had so much cramps that lasted for almost 4 days....
please did someone have such prolonged cramping and what am I expecting in couple of weeks/ months or years to come.

Doctors in the house you input would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Education / Re: Boarding Schools And Lesbianism by laginks: 8:30pm On Nov 18, 2015
krissy213:
Boarding Schools And Lesbianism
It has been observed that most girls in Nigerian secondary schools, especially those that live in dormitories indulge in the dirty act called lesbianism. Parents do not have any clue about what their kids are into. Schools especially those for girls only breeds female homosexuals. They engage in school mother- daughter relationships and establish a bond. They also exchange gifts like teddy bears, cards, make up accessories, jewellery etc during events like valentines day and birthdays. They exchange visits and sleep over at each other's hostels and they usually wake up in the middle of the night to have sex. Most girls, especially the freshers are usually forced into the act. They are threatened and punished severely if they refuse to be lured into the act, which makes them live miserably in their dormitories. They are usually too afraid to speak up to their teachers, guardians or their boarding house mistresses for fear of being punished. Students into lesbianism are usually beautiful and they hunt for beautiful partners to show off what they have.
Some girls are usually lucky to stop the act after awhile while others live as lesbians or bisexuals all their lives.
Parents and guardians should try to enlighten their kids/ wards about the dangers of same sex and they should always encourage their daughters to stick to their beliefs despite the challenges they would encounter from their lesbian school mates.
Schools should be vigilant and maintain a strict discipline of non- lesbianism, therefore, anyone caught should be expelled.
Tuck shops should also not sell things that could be used by girls to thrust into their private parts like candles, fishrolls etc
Schools should also observe their lights out and also ensure that every girl is on her bed. The G and C section of the school should also be active.
Nice one.... You sound like you went to Fggc bwari abuja, mentioning stuff like tuck shop... This is a sincere piece u wrote... That is the trend.. And I have vowed that by Gods grace my kids won't go to an all girls /boys school. Thank God for his Grace and mercy..

Religion / Re: My Pastor Justified Taking Another Wife With Scripture, Is He Right? by laginks: 2:40pm On Sep 06, 2015
Debeloved87:
My pastor's marriage crashed last year, thou the marriage produced children and the parting seems unreconcilable even thou i think it fell on domestic issues and also the fact that the wife doesn't really flow with the pastoral call of the husband as her pastor husband wish her to.

Recently the man of God was talking about it and he said that he will take a new wife very soon anytime he is ready, and he ask us whether its scriptural but we just giggled and he told us that it is scriptural that we should open the book of 1 corinthians 7:14-15 "for the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband, else where your children unclean but now are they holy; but if the unbelieving depart, let him depart, a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases:but God has called us to peace...

This actually was a little bit confusing to me, since the wife in question wasn't an unbeliever... Is my pastor right with his assertions?
I don't know how people think.. What other sign does someone need to know that his so called pastor is a false prophet.....please my friend be wise.... My one cent

Good.. He had it coming... Now foreign companies like HUAWEI would start all over again bribbibg their way with d new immigration boss so that their numerous Chinese staff without work permit can come here to Nigeria to do jobs DAT Nigerian citizens can do... Rubbish.. Pmb should probe all these foreign companies that have more expatriate staff compared to local staff.

Family / Re: Have You Checked Your Microwave For Radiation Lately? by laginks: 5:05pm On Aug 21, 2015
Nigerians can so believe anythingThe "cell phone" test is a fraud. Cell phones operate on a frequency range much lower than microwaves (800 MHz for phones and 2.5 GHz for the ovens), and the metal screen in the microwave door won't affect them. The phone will ring loud and clear and it doesn't mean the oven is leaking microwaves.

You can buy a "microwave leakage test card" at some stores that supposedly change color when you hold in front of the door if the oven is leaking microwaves. This is also a fake. It actually responds to heat, on the thory that if heat is escaping around the door then microwaves are too. That's wrong.

The only sure way to test for microwave leakage is with a standardized leakage test meter. This is a fairly expensive electronic device. You really don't need to worry about microwave leakage unless the door of the oven is visibly out of alignment so that it isn't closing and sealing properly. If the door hasn't been getting slammed shut and the oven hasn't been dropped, everything should be fine. Take the oven to a service shop for a leakage test if you are concerned.

One final note: Microwave energy drops off rapidly with distance. Just don't stand right in front of the oven while it's running.

Hope this helps ease your mind. Thanks !

Throws up or regurgitate? If ur baby throws up after each feed, pls see a doc(a paediatrician) as soon as possible. Let them check the baby. Its well.. it's normal babies regurgitate after feed but nt vomit, ensure u rub ur baby's back and make d baby belch b4 putting down or playing wit the baby. All the best
i would say he regurgutates. but the volume is what scares me. he could soak a bib completely with the milk after every feed. i have stayed away from milk in my meals for almost 2weeks now, since i learnt thta milk, eggs, cheese increase the effect of colic in childden. but he still groans in pain especially in the mornings. please what else could i do to. thanks
