ziqqz:With this 19 states won by APC and 5 states with over 25% votes- Ekiti, Plateau, Nassarawa, Taraba and Edo (All totaling 24 states), no matter the rule that is to be applied Buhari has won. Remember, Sokoto and Borno is still there to add-Case closed! |
duni04:True talk! While not being unnecessarily sentimental about issues, let us learn to appreciate one another strength and applaud it for a better Nigeria rather than creating cracks in national unity through promotion of unhealthy rivalry&things that divides. I would rather agree the the Yorubas has displayed more maturity in being tolerance of other tribes and practise modern democracy devoid of tribalism and ethnic affiliation than just assuming the victory of the other tribes in emerging House of Rep is their being dominance in place. When you check the campaign and the voting across the geo-political zones, you observe the same thing. GEJ had to do repeated campaigns in SW post election postponement when he was told that if he loses SW and NW landslide, he can't win. Now see the response in less than 2months, winning margin btw APC and PDP in SW is very close with PDP succeeding in clinching Ekiti despite the SW be classified APC stronghold. This is the maturity and lack of tribalism we are talking about when people face issue-based campaign rather than being dogmatically stalked to a party or candidate for any particular sentiment. If you look at the election result across most of the states in other geo-political zones, the voting pattern of landslide victory for candidates in area of the zones with opponents having less than 20% represent elements of nascent and immature democrazy. We are not yet there but would get there someday. Let rise as individual to the task of building our nation by applauding one another strengths and complementing the areas of our weaknesses irrespective of our tribes and tongues |
Are you guys still in business or what is happening. Your thread seems less active. I need your service but am skeptical because of the low key activities on your thread. |
Hi Bigfat, Your service is really encouraging. Keep up the good work. Pls can I be able to get a cheap university for my brother to do top-up Business Administration and MBA with admission to start in between Jan and March 2015. He completed an online Bachelor in Business Administration from Swiss Management Center with a CGPA of 3.8 but could not go for National Youth Service year in Nigeria as the country does not have provision yet for deploying graduate who did online program for the scheme. I am equally interested in one year MPH program (online or full time), I have a MBChB (MD) from a Nigeria University. Thanks for your prompt response. |
This issue is just a simple one! Arabic is never a Nigeria language. Those canvassing for it as a language understood by most people in the North are doing that with selfish religious sentiments without a fair consideration of many other minorities in the north that do not understand Arabic because the do not learn it. We are well aware that most Muslims learn arabic at early age which aids their understanding of the Quaran but this is not so across the north. Northern Nigeria is rather more unified by the Hausa language which cuts across ethnicity and religions. Therefore inscribing Hausa language is more unifying and increases the no of people that will understands whatever message is being passed across on the currency. Additionally, it is better to avoid everything that would tilt Nigeria towards any religious prejudice now, if anything is to be inscribed on Nigeria currency, let it be the official local and major languages recognized in Nigeria! |
