Mi Note 3 is on Nougat 7.1.2.

WhatsApp already being backed up on Google drive already.

It's normal for some apps not to backup. But what apps exactly, so that person's who have experienced such issues can help out better. Try exporting the apps settings and importing the file to the new phone

You should use mi drop to transfer your files. That should work.

For the battery, you can flash the rom again or factory reset

Interestingly, I haven't tried using the Mi Drop App before. This is going to be my 5th Xiaomi phone and all I usually do is a backup and restore and everything is back to normal.

Apps that seem to be affected where are the ones that require some form of authentication to gain access. The likes of WhatsApp and Facebook. I didn't take note of the specific ones but I know that out of 59 apps only 29 got moved.

However all my media, sms, contacts and call logs got moved.

PS: Factory reset didn't help. Fast charging doesn't seem to be enabled on this unit. I may have to flash the stock ROM afresh in fastboot mode using MiFlash.

Hello everyone.

Please I need the kind intervention of the gurus in the house. I just got myself the much coveted Mi Note 3 as a worthy replacement to my beloved and all-too-efficient Mi5 and currently faced with 3 serious issues.

1. I am unable to perform a full local backup on the Mi5 (which is on the latest MIUI 9 Global Beta ROM) as it only saved half of my apps. See screenshot of error message below:

2. I also tried transferring my files, apps and settings using the Mi Mover app and got the same error message. When I went ahead to do the moving, only half of my apps moved.

3. Finally, the Mi Note 3 (which is on the latest MIUI 9 Stable ROM) took forever to charge up to 100%. It took almost 4hrs. Hoping the battery will behave after exhausting the first circle. But has anyone experienced same before. I want to know just in case I may have received a defective unit.

Opened a dispute after order protection elapsed and was awarded a full refund.

Not happy that I didn't get what I ordered though. Badly needed that PZOZ full screen protector and rubberized casing for one Redmi 5 Plus I ordered for a colleague.

The phone came in 10days but the extra accessories never got to me.

Apparently... I just gave up after a while.

But I never tried turning on autostart. Guess that's a new one. My phone has become a new baby.

My frustrations with RAM management almost led to dumping MIUI after 3yrs of being a Xiaomi fanboy.

Locking apps didn't work for me but the tweak suggested by freebuddy seems to work.

Please, how have you been coping with MIUI's over-aggressive RAM management issues? MIUI force closes apps in the background so that they consume less power but the disadvantage of that is you miss out on important notifications. For me, I must open certain apps like Truecaller before it is fully functional. Also, my second WhatsApp account is permanently offline until I start up the app. This can be really frustrating. All the workarounds I've seen online have not been of any help.

Any ideas folks? Where are the MIUI gurus in the house? Gptech, Grandmufti and Co.

So I ordered a Redmi 5plus 3gb+32gb (spent about 70k) for a lady from Dreami store and it arrived in 14days only for her to say the phone was too hefty. I offered her 30k and my Mi5.

Would you call that a fair deal?

Mi A1 and mi 5x are the same. Only that one runs on miui while the other runs stock Android.

I'm not so sure about redmi 5 plus. I would rather wait till the ending of this month to know if another series will be launched.
