Bro, you don't want to know what those bastard at DHL are up to in that their international airport customs unit. They have recently began to connive with customs officials to charge exorbitant import duties.

My Pocophone F1 (6+128gb) arrived Lagos last week Wednesday and I called DHL by Thursday afternoon when I hadn't heard from them. The guy at the other side said it was undergoing clearance with customs and it takes 48hrs. Before I got off the phone he requested for my email which I gladly gave to him. Only for me to receive a mail afterwards telling me to pay 20,480 naira as customs duties. My head scatter.

I've sent them a stinker of an email and have demanded for an explanation on how they arrived at that amount. The officer escalated my mail to their complaints team keeping me looped but I'm yet to get a response.

I wonder if it is now prohibited to import phones from China.

Most annoying part is that I paid $35 for fast shipping through DHL only for the seller to delay shipment for one whole month. Now this rubbish. Mtchew!!!

Nothing has happened to it, the service of clearing and moving it is just slow. I have read about exoeriences of others. If I had known I would have ordered and used DHL as instead of these cheap courier services.

Got mine like 5wks after I ordered it. Took 2wks before it was shipped and order was received exactly 3wks after it was shipped. Placed the order on 17 Dec 2018 and it was shipped on 05 Jan 2019. Order received on 25 Jan 2019. The store declared it as accessories worth $18. I guess that's the information they are trying to pass to you.

The price on AliExpress for the base model (6+128gb) is about 185k plus shipping. 10k extra will equally land a Mi9 the 6+128gb variant.

Looks like you are correct coz it wasn't showing any light before when charger is connected. Now it is showing green.

It's not completely damage..give it some time to dry.. I don't suggest dismantling but find a way to make it dry....

I had a similar experience that make me bought another A3, the phone is now recovering well.. camera is working now. Face unlocking working well too. my engineer told me he want to work the sensor to work but I told him to forget about the sensor..

My wife spilled 7up inside her handbag which also had her Umidigi A3 in it.

She didn't do anything about it coz the phone continued to work for the rest of the day until battery ran out. She only raised alarm when she tried charging the phone and it refused to charge. That's when I examined the phone and discovered that the camera lenses were misty.

I ejected the SIM tray and saw traces of fluid that was when she admitted that her drink spilled on the phone.

Can anyone help please or the phone is completely damaged? All the repairers we met at computer village rejected the phone.

Picking up this new toy from the post office on Monday. Pre-ordered through Umidigi AliExpress store since December at $175 with free shipping. Looks like the wait would be worth it. Only wish the One Max would get updated to Android Pie. Fingers crossed.

Was first a Umi phone fan back in the days when I was using the Umi Hammer and Umi Torch. Then switched to Xiaomi phones. Used Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note 3, Redmi 4A, Mi5 then finally Mi Note 3.

My Mi Note 3 is serving me well but ojukokoro will not allow me to rest. 128gb ROM, 4150mAH and wireless charging at that price point is what they call value for money.

Now I'm wishing I saw the F1 first.

Absolutely.

However, I suspect that the phones (particularly the x526 variant) are really cheap because the have very poor network reception. Works perfectly outdoors but network bars fluctuate indoors.

I understand that the x522 variant is made specifically for the US market and believe that the QC will be better than that of the x526 which was originally made for the Indian market. I guess you will be better off with an x522 variant.

4K video recording is functional but remote control ain't working.

Got the LeEco Le 2 X526 for wifey and just successfully installed the full Pixel Experience on it.

Imagine getting a 3+32GB Google Pixel for just 31.5k. 100% Vanilla Android. If you know... you know.

This is the best phone to buy at this price point. The user experience is unbelievable.

The phone is extremely fluid and everything works.

Won't be bad business to buy 10 units of this, port Google Pixel Experience on them and sell for 40-45k each.
