So I ordered a Redmi 5plus 3gb+32gb (spent about 70k) for a lady from Dreami store and it arrived in 14days only for her to say the phone was too hefty. I offered her 30k and my Mi5.

Would you call that a fair deal?
Very bad deal, you sold a MI 5 for 40k? shocked, I think you over-pleased her. Sell the phone for like 60-65k and add up the rest, that's a better deal.

Forgot to add that I've had my Mi5 for a year.

Battery life is crappy.

I'm a heavy user. Had to get a 10kmah powerbank to support my ministry.

You should be the one to tell us if it was a good deal now that you have used both devices.

Still not a good deal. You could have opted for a replacement battery instead. Anyways, if the lady is your girl, forget whether na good deal or not, na your phone still

If money is not an issue, you should be aiming to upgrade not downgrade. SD625 is a downgrade from SD820.

Once you use a phone for a year, There is nothing special any more.. He might might no need a SD835 phone to be happy...

I love the design on redmi 5 plus and battery .
But wanted a better camera in Mi note 3 SD660 is more battery efficient compared to SD820

My people, I need a replacement battery which is rated 2800mAh but what seem avail on AliExpress are 3200/4250mAh of the same model. What's your take: keep my money or go for 3200mAh?

Like you said we all have our preferences and all that but if it were me I wouldn't go from a flagship SoC to midranger SoC as a daily driver if I have the money. There is always a compromise to be made in all devices be it performance, battery life, design etc. SD660 isn't bad too.
