@monteriza, how was your trip to pti today? How re you sure there 's no mail in transit for you since you didn't see any list to confirm that the position you applied for has been filled? And pls what's the situation in pti whe you got there today? You ve been a huge source of inspiration to many of us who re still hoping for good news in pti! Cheers. |
I have been following the opinions and views from different contributors on this thread for a while and i must say a lot of them are just peddling unfounded rumours and causing needless anxiety. Anyone who has been involved with Civil Service recruitment would know that the PSIN exercise is the first in a series of the recruitment process. The PSIN is a unit in the Office of Head of Service (HOS), which has the primary responsibility of inviting applications, carrying out recruitment exercise and shortlisting of qualified candidates; the shortlist will be forwarded by the HOS to Federal Character and the engaging Ministry (in this case Ministry of Petroleum resources) for relevant endorsements. Once the Office of the HOS obtains these endorsements, the list will again pass through the Office the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) which manages the govt 's payroll. It is after all these that the PSIN/HOS would start sending invites to successful applicants. From the foregoing above, you should know that Civil Service Rules of Engagement is not a tea-party and cannot be done in a matter of days as some contributors are suggesting. A LOT OF INTRIGUES ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS! The next stage will probably be to pick Employment Form wherein your biodata, employment history and guarantors will be taken. Letter of Offer are issued upon satisfactory completion of the Form. So please stop all the hype! We will make by GOd's grace! |
Pessimist! clubone0502: |
I share your view absolutely my bro!....I 've been wondering the same thing! The whole process appears to have been compromised, and it's looking more like a South-South stuff. Most of the interview invites are low scoring applicants from SS and oil producing state like Ondo. PSIN is compromising merit and standard. olabayorbeulah: |

@mazimc, thanks bro1 |
I have been getting conflicting figures for number of invites sent out so far!....some have 94 while some others have 164! |
Pls who knows the number of interview invites that have been sent so far?.....and can we still expect more more invites tonight or tomorrow? And what is the minimum score to qualify for an invite? Regards. |

The results of ICAN Nov 2014 are expected to be released by the Institute next Thursday. There have been a lot of speculations and anxiety among candidates who sat for the exam, especially as the results were not released last week as widely anticipated. This is not surprising as the New Syllabus was first tested last diet and a number of candidates were caught ruffled by the exam format and the standard of the questions. Many candidates have expressed mixed feelings about the approach the New Syllabus was tested in its debut last diet. Some topics carrying heavy weight were under-tested while some other topics with relatively lower weights were over-tested, and it thus appears to a number of candidates that the weights attached to topics do not in any way represent the areas of emphasis in preparing for the exams. The message from last diet 's experience seems to be "take all topics as equal". This observation is particularly experienced in papers like performance management, financial reporting, strategic financial management and corporate reporting. Please send your views if you share the above sentiments. |
