Achoghim:
Truly, the devil lives amongst us in the form of human beings. Jonathan, like Obasanjo, was fair in the distribution of appointments. You guys should stop insulting the sensibilities of sane Nigerians with this childish but sinister lies.
Jonathan was fair or what did I just hear? Jonathan who was accused of running a Niger Delta republic of Nigeria is who you kid said was fair? Someone who sidelined the yorubas apart from the statutory ministerial positions and appointed more of igbos and South south people into his cabinet? He lost reelection bcs the yorubas felt cheated in his regime and aligned themselves with the hausa/fulanis to disgrace him at the poll. Though all Nigeria's leaders have been sectional in their appointment, Tinubus own is not different from what we have witnessed before. So you can find a drum and fill it with your wailing. 6 more years to go grin

Konjiboii:
GEJ started what exactly?
Persin when we the ijaws hate passionately. Talk another thing abeg.
You Ijaw people hated him bcs he didn't do any project in Ijaw land. Even ordinary road to his house was later done by Buhari. Oil spillage Ogoni clean up you people put him there for was abandoned throughout his six years. He did nothing in his region. This is different from the case of lopsided appointment that we are talking about. He appointed more igbos and Niger Delta people. His regime was then termed Niger Delta republic of Nigeria. He completely sidelined Yorubas in his government and these people kept their peace throughout his infamous régime. So it is their time, let them too enjoy the power.

Jman06:
At the time Ihejirika was COAS, Rear Admiral Ola Ibrahim (a Yoruba man) was Chief of Naval Staff.

Akiwunmin Adeshina was also the minister of Agriculture

GEJ also wanted Mulikat Akande to become Speaker of House of Reps but house of reps members of the ACN bloc (who were loyal to Tinubu) opposed opposed Mulikat but supported Tambuwal to become speaker. GEJ also tried his best to appease the Yorubas by giving them more appointments to headship of other government agencies and parastatals.

So, stop pushing the false narratives that GEJ gave more appointments to Igbos. That fallacy has been busted on several occasions here on nairaland
Mumu, may be we should also give you at least 10 names of Igbo people in Tinubu's regime.

Shattuck:
how did Jonathan start it ? Senseless talk
Not senseless talk. Jonathan appointed more igbos and Niger Delta people in his government. His appointment was lopsided that his government was nicknamed Niger Delta republic of Nigeria. What you people are confusing is the more projects he did for the North while leaving his own region with no single project. These are not the same things. He sidelined the people of SW and the igbos were even boastful of that act, telling the yorubas to go and take appointment from Tinubu whom they were following despite SW overwhelming votes for Jonathan first election. So please if you don't know anything, pls get out and don't come and rewrite history here.

No, Jonathan wasn't so tribalistic. He even did more for the North than the South in my opinion except you want to prove me wrong
He did more for the North in terms of projects but appointed more igbos and people of Niger delta. He completely sidelined yoruba people. However he didn't do any project in SS his own region and SE. But in terms of appointment, it was lopsided.

Nigeria will never recover from the tribalism precedents being set by Buhari and Tinubu. This is an act of deliberate hatred against other Nigerians.
It was Jonathan who started it. The North through Buhari only responded more brutally and Tinubu continues this anomaly. You guys have short memories. Only Obasanjo was a saint and Pan Nigerian.

convicted! Do you have proof of this?
He was convicted, the court only postponed the sentencing. That's how their own court works. But hypocrisy is the nature of you Obi supporters. Tinubu who was never convicted by any US court, you guys will always tag him convicted criminal. Someone who has never been convicted of any crime by any court, even the USA court. But here is Trump charged for a crime and even convicted, same person is saint to you and a Messiah. Slave mentality is dealing with Obidaunce.

Hemanwel:
If Tinubu is the "best presidential candidate from the Southwest" according to his kinsmen, and all he could give Nigerians as president is sorrow, tears, and blood, why should we consider another Yoruba man for president? Una nor get conscience?

Seyi Makinde's ambition is dead on arrival!
Tinubu is the best for Nigeria at the moment. No man born of a woman in the present Nigeria has his pedigree, influence and brain. The hard reforms he has taken within his short time, the combination of Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan and Buhari couldn't achieve in there 24 years rule. Tinubu is a great man.

Goodluck was never detribalized. He was also accused of running Niger delta republic. He also appointed more people from SE and SS. It was only obasanjo who was fair to all regions, he even shortchanged his own Yoruba people. Stop changing the narrative. We are all still alive. Jonathan started it.

Penguin2:
Reno Omokri has gone fully insane.

Who did Osinbajo backstab? Tinubu?

The ijiot is reechoing the rubbish that Tinubu urine drinkers said in 2022 against Osinbajo just because he dared to contest the APC presidential ticket with Tinubu.

Looking at the current situation of the country, would anybody say Tinubu was a better choice than Osinbajo?

Just imagine Osinbajo was president…

Sanity would have returned to this country.

Only Peter Obi could have done a better job then Osinbajo.
Yorubas knew the mind of you igbos that's why they didn't vote Osinbajo that u preferred because u saw him as weaker candidate against Obi that u can easily defeat. Tinubu is hated by u igbos bcs he defeated you igbos home and abroad. and conduct election in Nigeria 100 times today, he will still defeat you igbos in a free and fair election. How would a sane person reject someone who build Lagos state to an enviable state and embrace someone who couldn't make any significance effect in his home state let alone build it. undecided

Obasanjo implemented them and Nigeria benefitted from the implementation beginning of his second term in office. Go back and see for yourself how Obasanjo was able to pay off Nigeria's debt, obtain debt relief, and even save up $50 billion in Nigeria's Excess Crude Accounts. All this was before Yar Adua came in and rolled back most of the policies and abandoned the reforms. undecided

What APC has done is nothing short of stewpid and disastrous to the Nigerian economy. undecided
You are right. Obasanjo removed fuel subsidy, na Yaradua reintroduce am. Obasanjo did railway but his predecessors uprooted everything and today no railway, thank God for Buhari. Obasanjo fix all federal roads across the country but vandals removed everything. Obasanjo built 4 refineries but his predecessors sold all the refineries. Obasanjo revamped the agriculture sector and there was self sufficiency in food, Nigeria was not importing again, only for Yaradua people to come and scrap it. Obasanjo raise thr minimum wage to #100k but Yaradua reduced it back to #7500. grin grin grin grin
Obasanjo really tried grin

How was it all good for Nigeria? Floating currency without any shock absorbers in place for the economy, Abrupt removal of petrol subsidies without planning. Running a large government without any savings. Still borrowing at a larger scale. Oga you guys should stop being stupid.
Nobody is stupid bro. Na u no reason well. If those measures were so easy to implement as u have just used mouth to list them, then why then Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan and Buhari who all came before him couldn't use the shock absorbers and remove the corrupt subsidy regime? E easy they couldn't solve the problems, but rather plunge Nigeria into this mess of today and we are all suffering it. If the formulas used by past presidents of Nigeria didn't work, let Tinubu use his own and let's see how he ends it. You don't bury someone before he dies. He has barely used one year in office. The end justifies the means. undecided

The question now is, who are those fighting the corruption? Are they clean themselves? Has EFCC ever gone for any ex president?
Do we assume that all the ex presidents and cabinet members are clean ? And why is EFCC only going for the opposition parties or those who are not in good terms with the president? Has EFCC become the tool of the president for fighting opposition members? And how are we even sure that supreme court can be trusted, and not being used by the ruling part . Do we trust supreme court because it is deemed supreme?

So many questions to ask without answers. But we as Nigerians we want, EFCC to fight corruption.
During Onasanjo regime, was the convicted and jailed police boss Tafa Balogun an opposition figure? During Jonathan, were Stella Oduah and others investigated by EFCC opposition politicians? During Buhari, were APC members Jolly Nyame, and the other northern governor convicted and jailed opposition figures? Even during Tinubu now, is Yahaya Bello who led the youth wing of APC and other governors to birth Tinubu's presidency an opposition figure? You people should always think before u spit rubbish. undecided undecided undecided
