October made it the first time I sold more than two domain names in a month , although the sales figures might not seem so awesome for some people here.

That feat, however, is behind why I decided to share these reports. Maybe someone could get some encouragement from them. Progress. We shall get there.

The reports (all names in .com):

Personal Notes

- The total sales value for October was the highest I have managed in any month all these years!

- I outbounded for names that were under 60 days lock for the first time to see what could go wrong; sold two of those. I usually waited until after 60 days.

- With the Florida sale, I experienced the dreaded DAN payment issue first-hand. I might not have been aware of it were it not for the follow-up I did to all contacts after the initial emails. I was contemplating to stop doing follow-ups that don't involve price reduction because I didn't notice any benefits; only apparent inconvenience to leads. But this incident has made me rather confused about whether to stick to that decision.

- The Brookline name was probably the first I had registered in a long time for a city having not close to 100,000 inhabitants. I just decided to give it a try seeing that some people here have sold names for smaller cities.

- I didn't plan the follow-up that led to the Jacksonville name sale. While reading some posts on the thread last Friday, I saw a suggestion to offer Halloween discounts. I just decided to do that for the name and one other; got the sale notification in the night. Strange thing is that I was prepared to renew that name if it didn't sell.

Keep the hope alive if you are still hoping for your first sales. These reports are mainly intended to encourage anyone that might be feeling unlucky (like me ).

Let's keep learning everyday - this thread helps a lot! I found out many folks that became aware of this stuff after me don become bosses; I am not too shy or proud to learn from them. You gats to gba f'oga e anyhow.

The next milestone I'm targeting now are sales greater than $350. Good luck and more sales to us all in Jesus's name.

That's the challenge we face as Nigerians doing legit online business, sometime I don't blame some folks that hide their national identity when dealing with white folks.
Aside from the fact that they look at us as fraudster. They believe we are so poor to the extend that a dollar worth million to us.

I once had an experience with a guy like that, we both reach an agreement on a domain for $550, suddenly he just sent me an email, that he can no longer pay $550 but $50 that he noticed am from Nigeria and 50 bucks is a whole lot to people in Nigeria, after all, we live under $2 per day.

I have to school him. And eventually he bought the domain after some time of mind games.

That is the situation we find ourselves; I think it makes serious minded among us tough, and bold in achieving our goals.....

But how did they know you're from Nigeria, don't you have who is privacy on or did you use a Nigerian name or what?

Exactly, because in my sales letter I stated this to him. I told him to acquire the name to prevent a competitor from having it and he did, I guess that's why he isn't interested in initiatiating the domain transfer.

The domain name is the exact name for his business with just addition of "services". He owned Geo+ keyword, while I owned Geo+ keyword+ Services, which he paid for.

I'll wait for the two weeks to reach, if he doesn't initiate the transfer I'll tell Dan to take possession of the domain and pay me. If he likes he should reach out to them to collect it and if he likes he should not.

Please who has experienced something like this, someone I outbounded to bought my domain on Dan.

I have provided the auth code to Dan so buyer can initiate transfer but buyer is yet to do so for 3 days now.

I have reach out to Dan, they said they are on it and that buyer has UpTo 14 days to initiate the transfer.

Me I can't wait so I message buyer to inform him to do the transfer and if he needs any help doing it, he has read it but has not replied yet.

I don't even know what to do, I hope he initiates the transfer so I can transfer domain to him. Is this normal?

I run a content firm that generate $10k (4.5m Naira) minimum monthly from ad revenues across our websites. With a small team of 8 staff writers under my watch and a couple of freelancers. 95% of the revenue is mine.

My expenses and that of my family is not up to 500,000 Naira monthly which means I have a lot of cash lying around every month.

The whole idea of financial freedom is something I still find it difficult to understand until recently I read a book by MJ DeMarco Uncripted and I understood that the essence of investing money should be for residual income.

My money should be working for me and not being in the bank. How does someone get wealthy? Because I don't feel I'm rich just yet. With the high volatility in online business, my sites can be affected maybe in one google updates or so and the income stops.

So bosses in the house, what can you advice me to do with the money I have in order to ensure a brighter future even when my income stops coming.

I have 2 landed properties already (not really the best and in poor locations) and I want something to invest in for passive income so even if my revenue from blogging stops, I can still be earning sufficient cash to cover my expenses.
