I'm not given to complimenting politicians but I think Ugwuanyi deserves this.

The man has been prompt in paying workers even pensioners are not left out.

He has fixed most of the bad roads in Enugu. Right now, I can't point at any road that is in bad condition in Enugu.

Enugu is one of the most secured place to live in Nigeria.

Since Ronaldo came to LA liga, Messi has played 297 LA liga matches for Barcelona and has scored 319 goals in this time. With 1.074 goals per match.

Ronaldo has played 284 (13 matches less) and has scored 300 goals (19 goals less).
With 1.0489 goals per match.

And you Messi will certainly beat Ronaldo in the assists chart. So.... Who has outperformed the other??

Well, to be fair back in his younger days at Manchester Utd, he was quite a dribbling machine in addition to being a goals machine. He took these combined attributes to Real Madrid and was always cutting in from the left for fun and skipping pass his markers with ease using pace, power and his trademark trickery of leg overseas and so on.....

But now as he ages... His dribbling has waned and just his goalscoring prowess remains. He is not the Super quick feet player he once was which made him execute his forced kind of dribbles but he has not lost his golden double feet touch which fetch him the goals.

C.Ronaldo is essentially a goals machine and not a dribbling wizard. He is what I call a half-alien and half-human footballer due to his insane goalscoring stats.... Buuutttttt....

The one true Alien of Football in this generation is Lionel Messi. A dribbling god, a master class all round footballer, and also a super goals and assists machine.

When it comes to goals, I do admit Ronaldo edges Messi... But on the overall, Messi is no.1

Take nothing away from these two super stars of the soccer world... They have given us the best and greatest football rivalry we may ever see in one single generation. Pele never had a worthy rival, Eusebio was awesome but was never close enough to Pele's level. Same with Maradona's era... The likes of Rummenigge, Lineker, Platini etc were not as close.

But with these two, Messi and C. Ronaldo... We have a rivalry for the ages. And the debate on who is better will always linger when we have die hard fanboys of the catalan lords, Barca and ofcos Real Madrid, los merengues.

So before you start blogging. You need to ask yourself several questions. One important thing you need to do is to develop a plan, like a business plan. You have identified some industry niche you like to work on. Have you done enough research to see how this competitors have faired. See ehn, bloggers are scared someone might come and take their spot, so if you really want to do this, look at where they have not satisfied viewers, that is where you will build your uniqueness.

When you have sorted that out. You need to understand the concept of blogging and monetization. This will help you develop the right structure and UX of your blog. SEO is very important, internal linking is very important, content is king, visuals is important as well, this include videos, graphics and podcasts. If you truly want to do this, then study, research and plan to succeed. Bless.

OP, regarding the niche to choose: Let it be known to you that even the most-crowded niche is still very much available for you delve into. Good Strategy/Creativity is all that is required to rise and make money. So what should define your choice of niche is where your Passion can remain undaunted even if your blog does not successfully generate a thousand naira after a whooping 6months of investing your time, energies, and money into it.

For Platform, go for WordPress.

For Hosting, our mother-firm does that but since you didn't include that, go for either Whogohost or Web4Africa. Whogohost seems better in terms of customer care btw.

I'll ask you to find the one that is truly your passion. Whenever you become successful at that you might begin to try others. If you go any that isn't your passion. You're liable of failing or becoming tired.

I'll go with WordPress any day especially because of the theme and the accessibility I have. I operate my website Writertain with WordPress app.

1. Since you are confused about the niche, make it a Nigerian information blog and add architecture and real estate as categories, with time you will know which should come foremost.

This will save you from procrastination.

2. WordPress is the platform you should use.

3. Qservers, I use them presently and I have never had an issue, I actually left a popular Nigerians webhost with an unexpired hosting account.

I was always having database error and downtime, with Qservers I don't have that problem anymore.

My dear, most Nigerians use blogger and i will personally use WordPress. As for the hosting since you're particular about local host, you can go with WhogoHost or gigalayer.

But me i do foreign host and Namecheap in particular.

Starting with a Nigerian host is like planning to stay stagnant for long, instead go with blogger and a custom domain name.

Since you're targeting Nigerian from day one, go with it in broad and use silos SEO hierarchy to bring in the other niche of interest on board. No need making a separate websites for them.

Note that "silo SEO hierarchy" won't be possible on blogger though. Remember to create social media pages for it from day one

I want to set up a new blog.
I have different ideas and I don't know which one to choose.

I will number the issues and talk about them separately.

1) Niche: I have three different ideas. I don't know which one to go with.
The first is a blog on Nigeria. Specifically to provide information about Nigeria. No politics, no entertainment, purely information about Nigeria. I've already registered the domain name for this but I'm yet to pay for it. From my research, I discovered that there is a good number searches monthly in google for information relating to Nigeria. Also, I discovered that there are not a lot of blogs dedicated to this. However, I'm worried about competition from news and entertainment blogs that are general and are not dedicated to this.

The second is a blog on Architecture. As a student of Architecture, I noticed that there are not enough blogs that is if any dedicated to Architecture in Nigeria. It's mostly websites for some Architectural firms and then some real estate blogs.
However, there are not much searches relating to Architecture in Nigeria. I'm worried about getting traffic on this blog. I don't see how I'll make money from this.

The third and the last is a real estate blog. I'm not really much into this. I'm considering it actually because it like broadens the Architecture niche. So that's why I'm considering it as it has more searches monthly. Though it has more competition.

That's the three niches I'm thinking of going into.

2) Platform
I don't know if I should go with the blogger platform or wordpress. I need advice on that.
