netoc65: 1. Turn off the phone if it isn’t off already and hold it uprightly.
2. Remove any protective casing of the phone, and remove your SIM card and microSD card from their slots.
3. Open the back of the phone and remove your battery, SIM card(s) and microSD card though this isn't possible with all phone models.
4. Use a cloth to clean your phone dry. Avoid spreading the water around, because that could push it into other phone's openings.
5. Put the phone in a bag full of uncooked rice (sounds funny right).
6. Allow your phone to dry for a day or two. Do not be tempted (don't yield to the temptation if you're tempted) to switch it on to see if it will still work.
7. After the passage of few days, you can bring out the phone from the bag of rice, then insert your battery into the phone and switch it on.
8. If the phone doesn't switch on, try and charge it. If it doesn't charge, the battery might be damaged. You can buy another battery, or you may consider taking your phone to be repaired by a professional.
9. If your phone turned on and is running the way it should, you have to still keep an eye on it for the few days, this is to see if you will notice anything that is out of the ordinary.
10. In the future, avoid taking your phone with you when you are going to the pool, it anywhere you know there will be a possibility of it dropping into water.
