1. I lost to porn. It started with suggestive pictures, then NSFW pictures without nudity, then straight NSFW gifs, and finally porn. In the last days, I was hard from sun up to sun down. I did not even know it was possible to be hard 24/7. I was surprised. Now that I am getting back on this journey, I am not allowing any form of tease. And, if I unintentionally encounter one, I will have enough experience to control myself.
Thinking about this, one of the great things that I got out of monk mode is the ability to appreciate women's beauty without lusting and without loosing focus. Monk mode makes you see the beauty in all women. I am so grateful for doing this. I need to reach 365.

I also gradually came to the realisation that monk mode for a guy yet to be married is the best. Regardless of one's beliefs and ideologies or the motive for subscribing to it, monk mode is the best.

For me, the reason why I'm committed to monk mode is primarily for religious reasons, and secondarily, but almost as important, because of that feeling I get knowing that l largely have dominion over lust; that I can control and subdue my lust and not the other way round; that I'm not slavishly tied to that apron string of any woman located between their thighs. This feeling is supreme. It makes me feel strong and invincible. And that's why I feel weak and vulnerable at such times I succumb to the admittedly powerful force of lust.

Your thread is an inspiration, and I would say a timely morale booster to be more committed, tenacious and heroic at the battle front.

I appreciate you for sharing your experience on the battlefield of lust. Being a fellow soldier as you are, I could relate to virtually all struggles, resistance and experience. I commend your gallantry.

But I have just these two questions:

1. What made you lose your last battle? Was it sex or masturbation? You were not really clear on this. Not that it's of any importance to me; I'm just curious, but it's fine if you don't feel like revealing it.

2. I noticed your supplication is to ancestors and not, for example, to God (Jehovah or Allah). Is this intentional and connected to your religious stance? If yes, what exactly is your religious stance: traditionalist, paganism, atheism or Christianity, etc.?

As the truth has come to light, it's clear that neither of them is deserving of your love and friendship. Let both of them know that you're aware of their Judastic affair. Then wish them good luck, and walk away. Forgive; and don't let them ask for it before you forgive. But never ever let them into your life again.

At any rate, take time to heal. And don't blame yourself. It's not a sin to love and trust; but humans are dangerous animals. You've learnt this firsthand, and in spite of the pain, let the good in you triumph and stay positive.
