I also ask the same question, why are some people just so ungrateful. I have always wondered if there is a word for thank you in Somali. The Kenyan people and government have opened their border to allow your people escape from the hell hole which Somali as been turned into, by your retrogressive clan culture, since the fall of Barre. But instead of you to say thank you to them, u have the audacity to say you are doing them a favour. Who is doing who a favour or being ungrateful here?

I remember when America tried to help with food supply during the days of Gen Aidid but instead of Somalians showing appreciation, no, they instead attacked the Americans for coming to help them. Today we have Somalians all over Europe, America, Australia and some African countries who have run away from the same culture that as turned their country into hell on earth, but instead of learning to integrate and be part of these societies that as shown them mercy and kindness, no they go back to their old age culture of intolerance, drug abuse and religious dogma.  Why u refuse to accept or respect the culture of the host country that as shown nothing but love to u, is beyond me.

The word "thanks" is one of the most important word in the English language and indeed in many around the World, I think it`s about time u learn to use it.

Let me see should the Somalis be grateful to Kenyan police who look for any opportunity to get money from the Somalis? Somalis have been in Kenya b4 the war, in fact lots of them consider themselves Kenyan. Now for the refugee staying in Kenyan camps I guess you could say they ‘re more or less prisoners. The ones that are not in the camps are very productive. They do A LOT to contribute to the Kenyan economy. Last summer when I visited my uncle I asked the maid what she thought about the Somalis. Guess what? She was happy cuz her last employer was Indian who treated her like $h!t. If Somalis should be grateful, so should the KENYANS. Its two way thing. I would like to know why KENYANS try to pass as Somalis to come to western countries? its two way thing, Somalis are not receiving anything for FREE from the Kenyans. If the government wants them out, they would have been gone by now. But that’s not the case, cuz they know they are benefits to having Somalis in Kenya. We hate ayaan hirsi with PASSION, I consider her a LIAR, KISS @SS.

Honestly I didn’t say Somalis are the MOST beautiful people of Africa cuz common sense tells me that’s not true. Every nation has good/bad looking people. But to come and say flat out Somalis are UGLY is HATERED. I don’t know where that stems from, and I don’t CARE. Notice I posted only people of everyday Somalis not MODELS? They contribute to the Kenyan economy. They employ many Kenyans which they wouldn’t have if they had been based in Somalia. The Somalis rent/buy houses – that is contribution to the economy. The UN and other agencies rent buildings/offices, they hire cars, they stay in hotels – this is also contribution to the Kenyan economy. The Somali business have bank accounts in Kenya -- this is also contribution to the Kenyan economy. The Somalis have provided cheaper goods from all over the world and have saved the Kenyans from being ripped off by the Asians – this also helps the Kenyans. The Somalis have created trade links with Ugandans and others who come to Eastleigh to buy from them – this also helps the Kenyans. The Somalis hire maids, drivers and security guards – which also contribute to the Kenyan economy. They own buses [/b]which also contribute to the Kenyan economy. [b]They pay for private schools and private tutors -- this also contributes to the economy. I could go on and on…,

The Kenyan government does not [/b]provide monetary support to the Somalis, if anything the [b]Somalis provide monetary support to the Kenyan government. The refugee camps [/b]in parts of Kenya [b]do not only shelter Somalis [/b]and are funded by the UN [b]not the Kenyan government. There are Kenyans that come to western countries and claim to be Somalis.

You might want to visit those places you mentioned then you might actually see what the Somalis are doing especially in Minneapolis. They have business entrepreneurs, doctors etc. The second generation of Somalis are the ones to watch out for, cuz they’ll be very successful ;Dl. They wont suffer like their parents did when they came to the west. They are graduating in universities and colleges, very ambitious.
