God’s Dream For You - Sunday, November 27th

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19).

In our study today, we’ll examine two vital thoughts, relating to God’s dream for you. First is that as a Christian, you must realize that you’re vitally the house, the living tabernacle of the almighty God. You’re full of God as Jesus was when He walked the earth. God isn’t any less in you today than He was in Jesus Christ. This isn’t something you’ll have to grow into as time goes by, no; it’s a reality you have to wake up to. You’re the temple of the living God.

1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” What God wants is that you become God-inside-minded. He’s filled you with Himself. This became possible with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His resurrection made it possible for us to have and live the God-life.

Secondly, God wants you to know and walk in the full and exact knowledge of His will. He doesn’t want you to ever be in confusion about His will over anything at any time. Jesus was never in doubt of the Father’s will; so, why should you be? When you’re filled with the knowledge (“epignosis”—Greek) of His will, you’ll be able to apply the wisdom of God in fulfilling it.

No wonder the Spirit prayed through the apostle Paul in Colossians 1:9 that this becomes a reality for the Church: “…that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” He wants this to happen here on earth, not when you get to heaven. It’s His dream for you now. This is one reason attending Church services is very important for you as a Christian.

In the Church, you’re taught the Word of God to build you up spiritually, and to build your faith strong. The Word of God is the will and wisdom of God. To be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom, is to be filled with His Word; and when that happens, Colossians 1:10 says you’ll be fruitful in every good work. What a life!

I thank you, blessed Father, for your mighty hand that’s upon me to walk in your perfect will all the time. I live to fulfil your dream and purpose for my life, to the glory and praise of your Name. Your Word prospers in me today, and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Pastor Anita never accused him of adultery

Pastor Chris didn't divorce his wife

And pastor Chris didn't have any property in his name. (that's some humility). Though someone on here asked how come Anita didn't know this, I think she didn't know these because it wasn't material at the time she was with him, and if he did have, a law firm like her lawyers would have dug it all out.

So, two things.. He'd have lied if he said he didn't have any property to his name, if he actually did, and since the lawyers couldn't find any, I believe the OP.

Also, since she didn't accuse him of adultery, that clears me even further. She left him, he didn't push for a divorce, so in other words, he is not to be blamed.

Was she abused? Well, depending on the context.... it may never be physical abuse, nor even emotional, and even of it's emotional, it could be simply that Pastor Chris ignored her demands and she was pained by it for so long a period up until now. Let's not assume he abused her just because she said so, like gombs said... He's told the whole world he didn't do it, she said she was abused... let God be the judge. Me thinks we should leave this matter be, they've separated already. Life and ministry goes on.

it's saddening to see grown up men rally round to criticise a man's PhD, of ALL things. Some go as far as concluding it was an honorary degree, some said he just lying.

If he's educated or not, how does that stop him from beings used by God? How does the validity or not of his PhD add or reduce anything from the body of Christ?

Some people say, "A prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian". But power doesn't come by prayer. In the New Testament, the word "power" is frequently translated from two words, namely: "dunamis" which is the dynamic ability to cause changes and "exousia" which is authority.

Jesus refers to power in our opening verse. You received it when the Holy Spirit came into your life; you didn't get it through the effect of prayer. On the other hand, 'exousia' or authority means delegated power. The effect and the efficacy of authority depends on the power that's behind it.

We've been given authority in Christ Jesus to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (ability) of the enemy (Luke 10:19). The "power" that's behind our authority is the power of the Almighty God. This, again, didn't come by or through prayer; it was bequeathed to us in Christ as our heritage.

In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, "...All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth". That word, "power" again is translated from the Greek word "exousia", authority. In the next verse He said, "Go ye therefore...." He delegated His authority to us immediately. Halleluiah!

It's important for us to know what we have in Christ Jesus; we have authority in His Name! We have power to effect changes and live the supernatural life every day. I would to God that Christians would know this! What impact and changes we'll make in this world!

You're fully equipped with divine power to preach the Gospel and change the world! That power is in you through the Holy Spirit.

He Gives Supernatural Ability

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).

The Spirit of God can bestow on you
supernatural ability, and then suddenly, you’ll discover there’re certain things you’re able to do; you’ll supernaturally exhibit talents, skills, or proficiencies in areas you never knew you could.

We’ve received such testimonies about certain people who were never formally schooled, but somehow, by the supernatural ability of the Spirit, they picked up the Bible and could read
and understand it. Some others found themselves functioning with
extraordinary wisdom of the Spirit in ability, understanding, intelligence, knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to devise skilful and artistic works. Someone may ask, “How's that possible?” It's by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

You know, so much happens when we minister the Word of God; so much is transferred and imparted through the power of God’s Spirit. In Christ, we do have the ability to cause something supernatural to happen for others. In Luke 5, Peter had toiled in vain, trying to catch some fish. But Jesus told him, “...Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” (Luke 5:4). Simon, who was a professional fisherman, answering him, said, “...Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5). He and his colleagues caught such a great multitude of fishes, so much so that their net began to tear (Luke 5:6).

Even now, the Spirit of God is ministering special abilities into your life; you can receive now! The Bible says, “He giveth more grace…” (James 4:6). There’re certain things you'd find that from today, you're able to do, which hitherto, you weren't able to do; the
ability has been granted to you supernaturally, by the Spirit of God. That ability will cause you to prosper in your job, business, academics— in all areas of your life, in the Name of Jesus!

Prayer...
Dear Father, I thank you for granting me supernatural abilities, so I can be more effective in the ministry of reconciliation. I rejoice to have the Holy Spirit living in me, granting me increased grace and wisdom to
show forth your righteousness, and unveil your glory to the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
