BSC (entry level...} is not earning up to 180k... Even with the increment.

Breakdown of the payment after the recent increment of salary ...They pay twice in a month

First payment...82k
Second payment..90k

Quarterly... You get 82k
Xmas ..You get 25kg of rice...

Housing allowance: 1milllion, 20k

I just called to get further details.Not working there. Wishing the person good luck.

Considering his age & level in life, FIRS is not the place to go. like NCC, NSIA, NIMASA (UK posting), BOI, NNPC, NDIC, NAHCON, NUPRC, MOFI;

You are actually right. But FIRS is now hot cake ooo. As a Manager you are a big man. I don't think BOI, NAHCON is better than FIRS..The aforementioned agencies {Nuprc, MOFI, NDIC, NNPC, Nimasa, Downstream, local content pay better)

According to the information at my disposal, they are expecting increment of salary again. Rejecting FIRS is not really good. As a Manager he won't earn less than 18m to 22m per annual. I pray God will guide him to make the right decision.

I have gotten more information from the acquaintance I mentioned about 2 weeks ago. He is not willing to accept the offer because the offer gave no information on salary and job description. He said the agency is FIRS and all they mentioned was they are offering him a manager position. His folks are seriously on his case begging him to accept it but he is not convinced on why he should accept something that blindly. He is close to 40 in age and has a MBA and reasonable years of experience.

My advice to him is that his folks should get him something in the private sector at a more senior level if they want him to return as I am not sure the pay will be so great in a government agency. I feel the challenge is that he is not willing to return home yet because he is not sure what the country holds for him. Also, he is thinking there will be more pressure on him to get married which he is avoiding as much as he can.

I didn’t get this message but I was called by one woman yesterday she said she is from federal civil service commission, she asked some information about me which I supplied, she later called this morning and said I should come to Abuja for examination on Tuesday morning 9am, I’m speculating because I don’t know the authenticity of the information.

My friend said the guy got an offer letter that only stated he was offered Manager. From his understanding, the letter did not state the job description, start date, salary, benefits etc. That the letter was backdated to late last year and all they emphasized was the probation period, time notice for severance, and he is to present a medical certificate. He believes it since it was sent to him through email and his uncle confirmed it nonetheless, he isn't sure it is good enough but his parents had assured him that they will be compensating him besides his salary. They just want him to come back home at all cost.
