I think it's one of the interview tests to actually know how to deal with strangers or a maturity test though.
Same method was used for me 2yrs back when I did my internship with Chevron. The guy didn't use the company's number when he messaged me and later called. I was actually expecting a mail from them but they didn't, at first.[/quote]
