ednut1: Nigeria always want to reap where it didn’t sow. Is na you will you play for Nigeria? Forgot above "if na you"? Playing for Nigeria is opportunity for many of them to have senior international play. Ademola, Moses, Tosin Adarabioyo, play for England at under age level but no chance for them in Senior team . Ademola is getting more recognition for switching to play for Nigeria, Tosin is trying hard to court NFA so he can play for Nigeria. I can bet you not switching is what Saka will later regret because white player will always hype over him. |

SAME WAY SE WANT THIER OWN 6TH STATE., Remember NW has 7states. SW also need 7th state because of population. NC need more state because of Land mass. This is how arguments will continue will continue. For SE, they are seeking 6th state for state sake, no population and land mass to their arguments |

Stolen: 2 THINGS CAN SWING IGBO VOTES IF THAT IS WHAT TINUBU IS AFTER
1) ANIOMA STATE CREATION.
2) RELEASE NNAMDI KANU, ALMOST ALL IGBOS BOTH APC, LABOUR, PDP, ADC HAVE CALLED FOR HIS RELEASE.
5-6YEARS IS U HAVE HELD HIM, WITHOUT CONVICTION. THAT IS ENOUGH, ANYTHING PAST IS GOING TO 1DECADE AND MANDELA LEVEL OF 2 DECADES.
MANY BELEIVE YORUBA WILL RELEASE HIM AFTERALL THE FIRST JUDGE TO RELEASE HIM WAS YORUBA.
IT DONT TAKE MUCH TO SWING IGBO VOTE, U HAVE TAKEN THEIR PRESIDENCY, NATURALLY U GIVE THEM SOMETHING IN RETURN TO MAINTAION THE BALANCE.
LIFE IS ABOUT BALANCE. Your opinion though. I don't think any of the two options is visible before the election. 1. Creation of the state is not that easy in democratic system and other regions will want their own citing land mass and population. 2. Releasing Nnamdi Kanu seem visible but it's after election. How many time has he been released but start using his network to cause problem against what he promised. |

thomas2024: I understand you. I believe Africa liberation may not happen during our time, but one day it will surely happen. One thing will lead to one thing, we all cannot continue this way. A slip may happen from the Western bloc, and an African country may capitalise on that while others start following the precedent.
Centuries ago, when sla.ver.y was rampant, no one thought they would be free, but their freedom came at a cost. The same way when they colonise us (though I know we are still neo-colonised (in-dependent to them). Surely, one day, all these will be a thing of the past as well. I also pray so. But our government/polical set-up, policy making, economy decisions, our natural resources etc all is to please Western world. All these made give up that there is no way out. As you said, one thing can lead to other |

SmartPolician: The indigenes of Abuja are people who we consider northerners, so it is expected. Wike becoming the FCT minister and nobody protesting against it shows that everyone is welcome in the territory. In fact, the only senator representing the FCT isn't even from the FCT and they are not protesting.
Abuja is the only place you go to and Nigerians of all tribes are named after streets and strategic monuments. In my view, Abuja is a perfect capital because the natives are extremely accommodating and welcoming. There's nothing wrong with it having northern feels because the earliest settlers are predominantly northerners.
In short, I think more efforts should be made to preserve the natives' culture and legislation made to give the natives key government appointments/positions because Nigeria has practically taken everything from them. We don't have to wait for them to start protesting and destroying public infrastructure before the right thing is done. You made good points |

Sonnobax15:
This shouldn't even be a matter to be debated on,cuz this is Africa and this is one of the things that qualifies a woman to become a wife...But if you as a woman is insisting on it,then, you should stay put in your father's house and let meno-stop be your wall clock It has never be an Africa culture for Wife to take her husband name, It's purely white culture. To me, women should remain her fathers name because the purpose of surname is to identify and trace linage. Or better still, wife can be using both surname, just indicate your husband name and fathers name |

givedemwotowoto: It’s an unfortunate situation. Every time you try to make sense of this war, the genesis always goes back to October 7, when hundreds of Israelis living peacefully in their homes were murdered or taken hostage.
What was Hamas thinking? A country like Ukraine who did nothing to Russia was invaded, talk less attacking a sovereign nation who is much stronger like you. Many of you always refer to Oct 7, seem like that was when you started follow their crisis. In post above, he mentioned Nakba, when more than 70,000 Palestinians were killed and displaced by Isreal to take their land, and since then Isreal keep killing them and expand. They were trying every means that their voice will be heard to stop Isreal from keep killing them. They went to UN where they were voted to be recognise as a state (country) but US keep veto it any other resolution to to give them recognition as a country. Oct. 7 may come out to be their wrong move but it's one of their effort they believe will attract world attention that may lead to resolution. |
