but i think that is an additional file. i dont know which and how it is used

He is very correct, anything aside from what he said is equal to bricking bro... A is for 16+1 while BL is for 16+2 and 32+2

Pls those that rooted and installed custom recovery, how do you update? Do you also flash stock recovery back?

I flashed my rooted and custom recovery phone to lollipop... Nothing will go wrong just that u will lose the root and the custom recovery.

most of us here still don't understand this lollipop upgrade stuff. where can we get the files and also how many times are we to flash? are we to flash and then search for OTA upgrade? does the new hot note straight from the box receive lollipop upgrade? these are questions we want to understand. as for me i am wary of rooting my device, must we root before flashing? someone with a good heart should please help us with is pending questions as some of us are confused if the update is OTA or via flashing?

1. You don't have to root your phone
2. You have to flash through sp flash tools on a computer.
3.There is no way around that for now.
4. You can't get the updates from kit at OS.
5. You can download from infinix xclub forum.
6. To be sure you r downloading for your phone, i.e hot note or pro, make sure you download the latest update 828 from the forum.
7. Be sure you know how to use sp flash tool. Read up online and download the latest version of splash tools.

You better move on and flash the 828. If anyone tell you to stay with the 730, well I wonder y and then you too that downloaded a new update read the features about it and remember this isn't a custom rom... Its stock... Follow come... Whatever few bugs in 828 is sure to be taken care of. And y don't u just update via OTA from 730?

They are the same thing... since they'll both give same result. I guess the upgrade from 730 is mainly for those of us that tested it. If you are coming up from kitkat, go straight to the 814 upgrade. wink

If the link to 814 is breaking and giving problems, why don't you download 730 beta and from their do the OTA update. The OTA UPDATE is only 151mb. So u will still use less than 1 gig

Which one did you download? 730 beta or 814 official? Either way you have to use sp flash tools. Check online to see how to use and download the sp flash tools.

Buh wait ooo. . Dat latest version of lollipop, most times my 3G just turn Edge, i av to change back to 3G almost always..

Do u experience such abi na jst me?? And if u do, aw u take stable ur 3G, seems to me its on 3G/Edge and not 3G only dats d only logical reason i can think of oo..

I'm also experiencing it o.. Some guys reported it on the 730 beta version n they promised to get it fixed. Don't know how they managed to skip it.

If you want lollipop and you are rooted and on kitkat, get the 730 lollipop update and flash with sp flash tools making sure you click "firmware upgrade". After this you can do OTA update to 813 official lollipop. Nothing will go wrong. Plus the upgrade from a rooted kitkat will totally erase all the system and after ward you are back on stock recovery with lollipop. like I said, I did it. And the official 813 OTA UPDATE is stable and not filled with bugs.

no root app can root lollipop for now.. You've to find flashable lollipop SuperSU zip and flash through recovery.....

*note* your cwm recovery for KitKat won't work on lollipop.... So someone has to create a lollipop recovery for hot note

Better than the first one and the camera is 8mp and 2mp now.

I updated the lollipop alpha update on my phone. It has alot of unfinished business but it's lollipop 5.1 anyway... If you want a complete and fully working rom, don't update yet. Wait till the end of August for the complete version. Will let y'all know layer in the day what and what r missing.

The only issue i had with this rom is the back camera that was set at 1 megapixel at default, tried changing it but not succesfull until i flashed the material v4 beta alongside and everything works perfectly well except for proximity sensor that does not put off the screen when making calls....thank you for the beautiful rom

Hello Sophia, if infinix hot note got bricked while doing system update and it's taken to carlcare, are they supposed to charge/bill us? Especially if the person took the receipt and box showing that it was recently purchased?
