MY IPhone XS suddenly shutdown when plugged to charger or earphones. When i unplugged from charger its automatically power on. my battery health is 80%. i tired to reset the phone still same issue .

Please help me what could be the problem and solution.

I am going to speak from a professional point of view as an Engineer and somebody that has been building in Lagos State for the past 15 years.

The Lagos State regulatory Laws for buildings are more of extortionary than regulatory, this is the reason why people keep finding ways to bypass the laws.

There is a reason why developers keep avoiding the buidling permits and other permits in Lagos not because they dont want to be compliant but because of the tedious process, the bureaucasis and the unnecessary protocols involved.

First and formost building permits should be done by the Local governments as it is done in sane climes and not by one office in Alausa. It takes about a year before your building permits will be out that is if you "bribe" very well. Thats not good enough for businesses. Building permit should be out max three months. Some developers take bank loan to build, imagine taking loan for a project and the interest running for a year before commencement of the project.

When the construction is ongoing, Government agencies comes for stage certifications, you will think its actually to check the ongoing construction, but in reality they are coming to extort the developers or the house owners. Thats why developers can easily bribe them and achieve any sinister motive against their initial permits and approvals.

There's even an intresting situation I keep arguing with them. One of the requirements before a final certificate of complaince is issued on a structure is Builder's Document which must be provided by only a BUILDER not a CIVIL ENGINEER. I kept asking them why will a Civil Engineer erect a structure and then go and be looking for a Builder (somebody that studied building technology) to certify his job, thats absurd and crazy. I simply told them they just wanted to create jobs for builders.

The built industry MUST be regulated but the government has to be sincere, thorough and give it a human face.

so it is only one office in alausa that you can get building permit in Lagos state,shame on you and your experience in building profession.

Why I’m asking all this is that my battery health reads 91% when I bought it, but today it reads 90% In just 1 week.

I did a further test into the battery using some apps and realized that the battery seems boosted. The various apps show that my battery health is at 74%. Now I can’t be so sure about that.

forget about seal,het another battery and enjoy your phone.thats what you get when you start looking for 90% and above battery health,even some batteries at 85% are better than boosted 90something percent.
Just avoid water cos I don’t know what makes you feel that a phone you didn’t buy brand new still has the seal

definitely if you have a bad phone battery,you have to replace it and I don’t think there is a big deal about that.
It is always advisable that you replace from a donor,I mean say from an iCloud phone or a faulty one.be sure that you are replacing with a healthy battery too so you don’t go from fry pan to fire.
You can be luchk to get a honest engineer that can do that for you cos some of my colleagues will charge you for a donor battery and still get you something else.

There are things that confused me about this country and I don't know why it keep repeating itself in every road contracts I have seen in Nigeria. Why is it that this country would construct a road with zero landscaping. The sand would just be there very glare and in contact with the coal tar. What happened to grassing or interlocking stones to cover the sands? I DON'T UNDERSTAND! The annoying part is that they would brandish it as a proudly completed project. Why is it that an Engineer in Egypt would construct a road and complied in that regard with every single road in Cairo whereas in Nigeria, the same Egyptian would not lay emphasis on the government about the same procedure as an engineer in Nigeria. I noticed my iPhone xr getting hot while idle in my pocket recently this afternoon, I removed the pouch and could see the temperature notice on the screen, so I switch it off myself to cool down, after cooling down, I'm unable to switch it on, not booting at all and it's not charging too... What's likely the issue here because I find it strange!
