Your boss has no efficient means of recruitment. For a every good employee, there are 1000 better ones out there.

That is the reason big cooperations can stay decades, massively changing staff and still keep doing well. There is always a replacement for everyone, the challenge is in finding that replacement with ease.

1. Don't hire who you cannot fire.

2. Hire slowly, fire fast.

3. Integrity first before competence.

4. Sense of ownership is important. You can inculcate that in your staff by carefully letting them involved in areas they feel they shouldn't. Carefully, I said.

5. Be nice to your staff. Reward good performance.

6. Devise an easy means of reaching out to job seekers, there are plenty of them out there, honestly. You can do that through target adverts and use of agencies. Don't rely on recommendations.

7. Make sure the remuneration is worth the job they are doing.

8. Create peaceful and neat work environment. It takes more than salary to keep some good employees.
