A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule 'braying' - or - whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery. Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back...a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back...HE SHOULD SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP! This he did, blow after blow. "Shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up!" he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought "panic" and just kept right on SHAKING IT OFF AND STEPPING UP! You're right! It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, STEPPED TRIUMPHANTLY OVER THE WALL OF THAT WELL! What seemed like it would bury him, actually blessed him...all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity. THAT'S LIFE! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self- pity...THE ADVERSITIES THAT COME ALONG TO BURY US USUALLY HAVE WITHIN THEM THE POTENTIAL TO BENEFIT AND BLESS US! Remember that FORGIVENESS--FAITH--PRAYER-- PRAISE and HOPE...all are excellent ways to "SHAKE IT OFF AND STEP UP" out of the wells in which we find ourselves! ******** What "well" do you for yourself in? this is not the scorn of aggrieved minority, this wud surely aggrieve anybody who now ave to proced to 5 diffrent banks to clear just #5000000 check, or company that ave to open diffrnt bank account and fund them all to prevent %25 surchage for checks above 5m |
@poster, it is supposed to be implemented by april, at least that was the initial agreement.,but surprisingly the table was turned and implementation took effect from january first |
according to the newly implemented rule by cbn, a soo called cashless banking innitiative, purpoted by mr sanusi himself, personal account holders are hereby not allowed to withdraw above a total amount of #150,000 on daily basis, "note"not at a transaction but a total withdrawal for a day, and in situation where exception would be made the withdrawal is hereby sur-charged #100 per every #1000.00 additional withdrawed,, cooprate organizations are prevented frm withdrawing not more than #1000000.00 on daily basis and a subsequent %25 charges of the total amount withdrawd, saying this is absured is an understement, reason posed for this mallicious act, reduction of armed robbery,, for petes sake nigerian do large scale business that involves reasonable large amount of cash, how in Gods name can that be effectively carried out if we are incapaciated by the very industry we saddled wt obligation of securing our income, its just a perfect example of imprisioment by our very own intelligency, pls, electronic transfer yet to be generally accepted, soo nigerians can we protest dis |
sayin d country witnessed d worst of time durin his time is an understatement, soo on wat bases do we rate him as d man of d year, worst president of d year, dat he would win in landslide ![]() |
belive me no such high target attack wud take place wtout an inside collaboratn, people who belive in rightfulness of this sancthimonius act,see things in thier way, bribed, or simply coerced into this, we all re not save, what depicts a good governace is ability of goverment to quaranty security of life and properties and its lacking in this our govermant |
