Saw this somewhere online and i felt i should share it.

Meritrade has a good platform, but like MTN in their new add campaign I don't think anyone should settle for good when there is BEST.
I use the new MorganCapital iTrade platform and it is beyond comparison even with meritrade. here are my reasons

1. With Meritrade, you have online access to sending your mandate, the stock broker still has to execute your trades on your behalf by sending it to the NSE ( which is why you still hear people complain that mandates were not executed at the best market price or not even sent to the NSE engine on time before the stock price changed, and this may be because the person that ought to have sent it to the NSE went to the loo or was answering a call, or any other avoidable human mistakes/distractions, etc that you can imagine, which in all fairness to the broker, may not be totally his fault as he is just human and not infallible - but would you rather leave your investment decisions/executions to such avoidable human inefficiencies?.) This is not REAL TIME trading!!!.

With MorganCapitaliTrade however, you are your own broker, your mandates are keyed into the NSE trading engine directly by you, in milliseconds, with no human interference and at your own fair price (which you can determine because you can see the bid and offer sizes REAL TIME as they change in miliseconds) through MorganCapital's access. I am yet to see any stock broking firm in Nigeria that matches this level of empowerment to its customers.

2. With other trading platforms, your broker still has the capacity to trade against you in a trading day, since they aggregate all orders for upload to the NSE. For example, if you place a buy mandate for Oando on Tuesday 24th June, at N35 when the stock had gone on Full offer without your knowledge (Full offer means: all sellers and no buyer for the stock), your broker might simply sell his own or his friend's Oando to you knowing fully that the stock is now on Full offer. He can then buy back the same oando at N27 when the price has stabilised (You would have lost N35 - N27 = N8 on that trade!). I am sure you would not have placed a buy mandate for Oando at N35 if you had seen that the stock had about 20m units on full offer at that time. You would have rather waited until it has fallen to a reasonable price. This same applies to when you now want to sell Oando at N27.36 today and the Oando is on Full bid ( as at today, Oando is on full bid). If you had the opportunity to see the market, why would you have sent an order to your broker to sell Oando when it is now on Full bid and you can see that the price has started going up. The truth is that: nothing beats transparency and your ability to see and do things yourself. You cant decipher the costs you are bearing from inefficiencies of human interference.
The MorganCapitaliTrade completely eliminates this from happening because you can Buy and Sell at the best market price or any limit price you choose to make, which you can see as it changes in miliseconds. You can also see if your orders are realistic or not in terms of the price you want to buy or sell into the market.

3. With other trading platforms, you may or may not have access to delayed historical market data and analytics. Most of what you have on other trading platforms today, are yesterday's stock prices, and they expect you to place your orders using those prices and yet deceive you that you are doing online trading. Yesterday, Oando was on FULL offer. As we speak now, Today, it is on FULL Bid. If you were relying on yesterday information, you would be selling your Oando instead of holding it until it reaches a comfortable price given the sudden change in its outlook to FULL bid. This is how time-bound the market is!!! In the capital market, you trade information & time, it is that simple!!! Any platform that does not empower you to trade this way, is simply not it.

4. The average brokerage fee for most stockbrokering firms is atleast 1%

My brother, everyone can claim online in this time of advancement in technology, but NONE provides REAL TIME TRADING directly into the NSE trading engine like MorganCapital iTrade as at today. emmanuel ewumi: I have problem with their speed of execution of trade, you can not give an order at 8.00am and expect it to be executed by them. You should have given the instruction the a day before, you can not have a direct access to your broker except the customer service people that will not reply your mail until after 3 hours or more. I love Chapelhill for their speed.

Try MorganCapital Securities. Once you open an account with them you will be assigned an account officer who will be your personal stockbroker, you have access to your personal stockbroker 24/7. They also respond to mail promptly. I just switched to them. The juicy part is that they have the lowest brokerage fee of 0.25% compared with 1.35% other brokerage firms charge.

The Osun State government yesterday inaugurated the Salvation Army Middle School in Osogbo, the state capital. The school is one of the 100 elementary, 50 middle and 20 high schools being built under the O’School initiative.

@ Mebube Your knowlege of football is very poor i must confess. If you re talking of history we are better than you and if it nased on currently we re toping the league table in England. I guess ure suffering from acute lack of information. I understand ur predicament, chelsea failure is imminent. Arsenal is the richest club in England and chelsea is a distant 3rd.

I think someone needs to inform Mebobe that we re talking of English Premiership here and not the Globalcom premier league. Prior to Wenger arrival in the premiership the league eas very dull and it was only Man U dat was reinging, but Wenger brought vibrancy into the league and he made the premiership attractive.

There is no intent of insult but people should learn not too just say anything dat come out of thier mouth.

Medube or what do you call your self. I don't think you are in touch with mordern day football. You'd propably start supporting Abiola babes. Let me inform you, Arsenal is the only football club in premiership history that has never played in the lower league before not even for a day, your chelsea ve done for quite a number of times.

Why do you think foot ball is played ? Football is meant to entertain and also to make profit, Arsenal has done both more than chelsea, Arsenal is the richest club in the premeirship, not even after winning 6 trouphies in 2 season chelsea cannot still match arsenal's finances, so what exactly is your problem. Why do you think Queen of England honoured Arsene Wenger with an OBE (Order of the british empire), because he played the best brand of football we have never witnessed in history (stylish, flamboyant, scintilating, captivating, entertaining and sexy football). Arsenal are the only premiership invisible champion, in case u don't understand,  arsenal won the premier league without loosing a single match.

I began to wonder if Medube is knows his onions. Chelsea has never acheived 50% of what arsenal as achieved  not even the coming of Roman (money miss road) or Mourinho (effective noise/touble maker) could make them achieve that. Do you know about G14 top heirarchy of football clubs in Europe Only Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool made it from England, chelsea is missing.

Arsenal has played in last 12 consecutive champions leagues, where is chelsea. Arsenal has played in the final of the most prestigeous club football cpmpetition, chelsea has never, Arsenal has produce playes that has conquer the world, Henry, Veira, Pires, Gilberto, Kanu, Anelka just to mention a few.

Currently now arsenal is comfortbaly toping the premiership even with a game in hand, your chelsea is gaspinp for breath. I do not see the exit of Mouriho as the fall of chelsea, the club is bigger than anybody. Mourinho was not sacked, he left cowardly  or let me say he chickened out he knew doom is ahead of chelsea after their terrible start.

Medube i understand your predicament ure meant to be frustrated it's not easy being on the loosing side, but the fall of chelsea is not the end life, u could still pick up the pieces and support chelsea so that they may not relegate.

My young gunns re flying and nobody can stop them not even ''Almighty Sevilla'' (two time Uefa cup winners). Medube don't see this as a condolence message ok, just take heart, ego better.
