I have been making some observations for some time and I have to admit what summed it up was that most posts on recent active threads about Chelsea, like:

that have shown signs of happiness, celebration, pompousness, etc. have been from Arsenal fans. The thing is funny, but even you the Arsenal fan have to admit to yourself its true

Could it be because during Jose Mourinho's tenure at Stamford bridge, Arsenal were never one of the privileged sides who defeated us, whether home, away or on neutral ground?  Or could it be because in the last 3 seasons, they haven't won anything aside one FA Cup (if I remember closely, but if I'm wrong please correct me, I don't have time to start reading Wikipedia)?  No be we do o! 

One thing is that they say football no be mathematics, but had it been e be mathematics, I think statistics show that Jose  achieved more or less equal to Wenger in the Premier League I mean let's face reality, Arsene joined the team in 1996, which is 11 years ago and has won 3 leagues and 4 fa cups, which is an average of 1 league every 3.5 years and 1 fa cup every 3 years. On the other hand it took Jose 3 years to win 2 leagues (back to back which only SAF has achieved before him) and 1 fa cup and thats an average of 1 league every 1.5 years and 1 fa cup every 3 years. But I state in the beginning no be mathematics

Every team has had rough times in their careers including the greatest teams, so what if we are having one now? Whether under Mourinho or now Grant, the last few weeks have been very very rough and I expected something, but I think Abramovich doesnt have a clue as to what football or any sport that involves a team is all about unless he won't have made such a big jump. He has to realise, this is not buying and selling oil  So, back to where I was, we are having a rough time and yes we will come out of it, you all know that. Football nowadays is bigger than a sport and don't ever in your wildest dreams as you all Arsenal fan are dreaming that we will drop very low, even as low as relegation as one of my sista point out on one of those threads

I don't know of anyone, I myself have been a Chelsea supporter far far before Mourinho and shall remain one far far after him. A lot of Chelsea fans joined the club because of Mourinho, they are ever welcome afterall a lot of Arsenal supporters from this Naija and I'm talking on personal research knew nothing of Arsenal before Nwankwo Kanu went there, true or false? and relating to the Kanu comment, that is a completely legitimate reason for becoming the fan of a club, learning about it because someone you can relate to is not playing there. Or how many of the so called Chelsea fans even knew where Porto/Portugal was on the football map before JM joined in 2004?

Now that cannot be compared in ANY way to the case with the preponderance of Chelsea fan who simply jumped on the bandwagon because Chelsea were successful, such fans will simply wait a little and jump on the next winning team - they are the most fickle and unreliable fans of all. Watch and see. The true test of a fan is when the team goes without winning for a while - do you still support or jump ship? We shall see the answers in the coming weeks/months.

He is a great coach no doubt, but he cannot match the single handed transformation that AW performed at AFC, from changing a style of play, to masterminding the building of a glorious 60,000 soccer heaven where his stars can show their skills from the historic and hallowed ground of Highbury.

Chelsea was not really on the world map without JM, that is why the whole thing is falling apart after his departure. Arsenal is much more than Wenger, though he is priceless in his contributions. We have a rich history before his arrival, and this has continued during his stay, and if and when he decides to move on, AFC will continue in line with its rich and successful history.

Please can you clarify how things are falling apart after him? Things have been rough for the last few weeks and there has only been one loss to Manchester United, which is not an impossibility or vice versa. It is very clear that AG does not have the personality nor the professional distance from RA to run the football aspect properly. reports (albeit unconfirmed) have it that he (RA) was actually trying to instruct Essien on how to distribute passes laterally, instead of forward (Sheva employed as translator ).

Ok, I take the tale with a pinch of salt, but even when AG was asked at the end of the MU game whether he had control of the dressing room, his answer was 'I don't know'. Not a resounding declaration of unity is it? While the players remain professional, It seems they do not respect this manager, at least not yet for your sakes.

Those are the factors that lead to breakdown, I'm not talking merely about a result, its the entire aura/persona and unity that JM built in Chelsea that are gone, even the most ardent and respected fan on nairaland (Baba AK) admits as much.

without those elements, unity being paramount, a team's performance is bound to drop rapidly. Its not all about money, Ranieri had the money but didnt deliver any trophies (albeit a reign cut short). finally, my position is not as a result of our current good position on the league table. Arsenal has a history of stability in it's coaching crew for the past 10years and prior to arsene wenger, since the premiership was established in 1991, arsenal has had only 2 coaches before wenger, graham gordon and bruce rioch, i can't count how many coaches that have been fired and hired by chelsea in the last 16 years of the premiership
