Hello Brothers! I was an opportunity card applicant and by God's grace I am in Germany today. I want to give some vital information that will help you when you move to Germany. The 3 most critical things are:

1: German Language. You will need atleaste B1, B2 if you can, without this it will be very difficult for you to get even a part time Job. the only job you can get without language is warehouse larger work. Germany is a very good country, but you need the language and If you know it the sky is your limit. If you come here with B1, you can switch to ausbildung if you are unable to find a suitable job, as most ausbildung places require B1 atleast.

2: ZAB Recorgnition. If you really want to find a job in Germany in your profession when you move, ZaB is very important as employers will ask you for it during the recruitment process. So my advice to you is even if your degree and university are in annabin database, pls also do ZAB, this is important. Yes you can get your visa without ZAB if your degree is in annabin, but you may not be able to get a job without it in Germany. So it is better you do it now.

3. Always plan for your accommodation, because, you must have a registered address on your name in Germany before anyone can employ you. it is called Anmeldung. Germans don't play with it. my advice is as you are moving to Germany ask the person you want to stay with if they can register your anmeldung with their address, if not plan for your own accommodation, as you cannot do anything in Germany without this address anmeldung. infact that is the first thing employers ask you about after work permit.

I saw something online about verification of your degree with Federal ministry of education and after that Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Yea... You can do that but I don't think it's a requirement for this visa path

I don't think degree authentication is required for this visa path... You submit online, same way you applied...

There's no need to print and attach physically, right? I guess the soft copy should be enough for the application, right?

I got mine a day after I applied. They won’t send the affidavit to your email, you have to log in and check the portal if the approved affidavit is there, then you download it.

They haven't called the next batch after that 18th batch... Hopefully, anytime from next week, we should be called... Fingers crossed 🤞🏾

Please I will appreaciate if I can get answers from those who have done this before. I see that @cyberbro and a few others have lots of experience in this space.

My first question is my blocked account and ZAB is not ready. I just paid for ZAB few days ago. Can i upload any document as a placeholder pending when they are ready so I can join the wait list or that is not acceptable

Secondly, If I upload this documents will I be able to change them later to the correct ones?

Yes! Upload placeholders... When you get called for preliminary review, you will update them to the correct documents...

I can't remember learning anything anymore I just use AI and bid for whatever job I want. I barely hand write code these days except complex parts. The industry has changed now.

But then, using AI kind of makes you forget how to write/implement code/functionalities yourself... And sometimes, you even get to forget a whole lot of concepts within your stacks. How do you handle this Boss?

From discussions here, it seems they are already calling October people. I am wondering why the time may have increased

I joined on October 30th too... And it's same 2-6 months... That timeline keeps changing... I think they can call one even while the timeline is showing 2-6 months

Okay. I think you might need ZAB in that case. Some persons on this thread have had similar experience. You can go through the thread to see how they went about it or maybe one of them get to respond to you soon.

I think they usually send an email to the embassy to give them an extension so they can process ZAB.

No, you don't need your primary school individual result; your testimonial/certificate is enough. Same for your secondary school.

You only need to upload your bachelor's transcript (i.e only post-secondary school transcripts are needed)

I uploaded all my primary school results, but during the Preliminary review, I was told to remove them and only upload my testimimonal/certificate

Are you trying to say we don't need our WAEC/NECO/GCE result?

The highlighted should already tell you the answer. For instance, my brother received his docs back couple of weeks back but the portal is yet to be updated.

If the response you received on the portal was positive, then its just a logistical delay and they'll probably send your documents within the next few days. But if the response on the portal was different, then that should already communicate what your staus is.

That mean his visa got approved, right? I guess if one's visa gets rejected, a mail will be sent out stating the reasons for rejection, right?
