Imagine if someone from Kano commits a serious crime in Akwa Ibom and runs back to his state and the police in Kano shields him because they think his crime is backed up by sharia law or because Akwa Ibom has a rival political party there. The idea of state police must be jettisoned because it is a recipe for total collapse of the security of the nation.
